This is a great place to come check out. I love all the cool stuff they have there is tons to see, I wish they were open later and some of their board prices are wayyy too expensive(I literally laughed) considering its second hand wood thats cracked, chipped, wormy, warped, full of nails or screws etc..my other concern is what was this Reused wood exposed to before it got here,,(fictional examples: asbestos, toxic or carcinogenic chemicals etc),, most likely nothing. The reused wood is probably fine but youve gotta wonder.. Im not really familiar about how scrupulous they are with what they bring in and who or where they get it from. I think if you are into building old furniture and making custom pieces you will love this place, I wish you could pay to have the boards you selected planed & cut to spec etc (yes they do cut the sizes you need with a chop saw) but Im sure that would complicate the simple process to much. They take cash and credit(GREAT!) the person that helped me with my purchase was very friendly and knowledgeable he was able to answer every question I asked, there was an adorable German Shepard in the office who was very friendly and the purchase transaction was prompt and professional. Im fairly well versed when it comes to material product knowledge and this place knocked it out of the park with me. I would certainly recommend The ReUse Warehouse to co-workers, friends, and family. And I do. They have a great product and service. There is a great demand and need for reused wood which also has a good environmental impact as well. A+

If you are interested in vintage/interesting building materials, this is the place for you to explore! Re-Use is located behind an industrial stretch of shops which you carefully pass by driving to the rear down a stone laden driveway, The building itself is a large warehouse which Rick Morgan, the owner and founder of Re-Use, has sub-divided into sections of doors, moldings, mantels, hardware, flooring, etc. I have always found Rick to be knowledgable, friendly and fair on his pricing. Items as small as hinges, hasps, door knobs or larger such as old wooden shutters are here. Sinks, tiles, and claw foot tubs! And a Soda Stand too! The inventory is constantly changing as "new" old stuff arrives weekly and it is not uncommon to see the employees outside pulling nails and stacking and sorting a pile of flooring salvaged from some recent find. Dress appropriately when you go to Re-Use…wear shoes (not sandals or flip-flops), and have a pair of work gloves. Be prepared for dust, noise and a big friendly dog!

The ReUse Warehouse is like the Scrap Exchange for builders and tinkerers. If Scrap exchange is like your personal craft-room on steroids, ReUse Warehouse is like your garage and workbench on steroids. Almost anything you could want for a house project you can find here. From old windows to tile to a claw-foot bathtub to kitchen cabinets to hardware to doorknobs to wood planks to wiring - they have great stuff. I have been here many times and some projects their goods and expertise have helped me to complete include: (1) raised beds for my garden (wood from ReUse, as well as advice on coating the boards) (2) a bar in the basement (using old windows from ReUse) (3) a driftwood jewelry hanger (using old furniture knobs and wood from ReUse) (4) and much more! The staff is friendly, the goods are great, and its fun to browse even if you dont buy. Definitely stop in!

Great experience! I have a long list of projects Im currently trying to wrap up and I found (almost) everything I needed here. I ended up spending much more time than planned because there is so much to see and I kept getting new project ideas in my head! The whole team there is helpful, informative and treated me with respect. As a young female, even though I know my way around a shop, I typically get talked down to or ignored, or laughed at when I explain my project. Rick is awesome! And there are two great pups there as well - I always trust a place thats dog friendly. Im looking forward to going back....probably in just a few days!

I was really surprised to find such a cool place so close to our new home in Durham. They have a a widely variable stock but always have terrific (and I mean really, really good) customer service and a wide range of materials from fresh looking cuts of quality wood to the reclaimed stuff that is so hot in furniture right now. Definitely worth a trip.

Have bought quite a few things Ive used for our retail stores or made into displays, including 150 year old lumber. Large, cool place to explore if youre into repurposing old items. Helpful, not pushy, people.

Great store! Wider selection than the Restore and they have a shop to help mill your wood, if necessary. The manager, Malcolm, is extremely friendly and helpful.
