On March 28, 2017, while shopping in the Harris Teeter in Quail Corners, Sharon Road, Charlotte, I slipped and fell in a puddle of icy water that had leaked from a cold case. My accident was witnessed by store employees, who rushed to help me and were wonderful to me, and by other shoppers whose names and phone numbers I obtained immediately following the incident. Because I have insurance, my medical bills related to the fall total around $300. To date, Harris Teeters insurance representatives have not reimbursed me for these bills, nor given any indication of when they might. Today, a Saturday, I received a letter from the insurance manager letting me know my case has been reassigned to another insurance manager, a completely different company. I was provided with an 800 number and a case number, but no name of who to call and no explanation for the reassignment. At this point, it is clear to me Harris Teeters insurance managers have no intention at all of reimbursing me for my injuries suffered in one of their stores. It is shameful to give someone this runaround over a few hundred dollars of honest bills. I didnt hire an attorney and sue for damages and pain and suffering. Perhaps I should have. By acting in good faith, Ive apparently sent the message to Harris Teeter that its OK to ignore me and not take responsibility for my injury related expenses. Prior to this experience, I had a high opinion of Harris Teeter as a caring corporate member of the community, but no more. Other than the employees on the scene, who were so caring and kind, and who have asked me repeatedly since then how I am feeling when Ive been in there again, Harris Teeter has utterly failed to demonstrate any consideration for my injuries or costs. It is shameful. As of today, I am no longer a Harris Teeter customer and I will be sure to make everyone I know aware of my experience.

I went to the Deli Department yesterday and it was quite a experience. My Boars Head Certified Representative of the Harris Teeter Deli was Johanna. She Had been working there since 2007 and she represented the Harris Teeter way of commitment and quality. I ordered 3 subs. 2 cold and 1 hot. All 3 off them came out to a delicatessens example of a commitment to excellence. But not only to Id she do that she went above and beyond by proving diligence under pressure of a line forming; while servicing me in a timely, professional, courteous, and informative way. So my cheers goes out to the Deli Manager Johns Attention to recognise the commitment and standards being forth by your employees. And realise that when you do have stars there are some who may not have the same inherit resolve to the customer. A employee Named Nick was being looked for at a prime time. leaving your Deli Counter with one Attendee. Still the employee gave her best to do given the circumstances such as the "Boars Head Lean" and making sure she followed the 3 "Cs". But to the dissatisfaction and desertion to an alienated customer base. I would make mention of this only because it took over 25 mins from my experience and still they had no person to show. To make note on that the Spinach Artichoke in sampling was a delicious delight and I time for sale was great! But none the less the commitment to the community for those who are a part of the Harris Teeter team I thank you for a wonderful patronage.

I am from a large Italian neighborhood in RI and moved to Charlotte. I would like to speak on two separate experiences I have had with one of the deli staff. I asked for hot cappacola. He gave me regular cappacola. When he handed me a slice I told him it was not the hot cap. He then proceeded to argue with me over it. Saying I didnt know what I was talking about and continued cutting. I refused to take it as it was not what I ordered. He then started mumbling and tossing around the meat. I walked off. My second incounter with the same man came a few mo later. I figured I would give it another shot since its in the neighborhood. I already knew it was going to be a bad experience as soon as I saw the same guy at the counter. I asked if they had the moradella with pistachio in it. He said yes. Becouse of my last incounter I asked to see it before he started cutting it. It obviously did not have pistachio in it. He then tryed telling me the fat in the mortadell was the pistachios. Again this became an argument till finally another HT personal came over and set him stright. I know Im a yankee in the south. I know Im not going to get some of the items I am used to at home. But to have personal lie and argue to a customer about the products they are requesting is unforgivable. I will take my business elsewhere.

I have totally lost my patience after tolerating multiple episodes of rudeness from the staff in this particular Harris Teeter. Today again I had to put up with an employee that was obnoxious. He was standing at the self checkout and refused to come over and help me when I asked for his help. He simply barked at me that the machine would "take it off" when I looked at him after the machine said I needed to call for assistance. After standing there for a good minute while just waiting for the machine to "take it off" it didnt!!! So then he finally takes all of 2 steps... yes you read that 2 steps, to come to me and swipe his employee card to override the machine. This then was followed by him glaring at me while saying in a disgruntled Sargent Nasty tone "well you didnt scan this item!" I said "excuse me, but I did and I called you to check because I didnt know why the machine wouldnt take it!" The man was beyond tolerable. Also, the fact that every displeasing encounter I have ever had was always with an older person, says a lot. The younger teenagers who work there are in fact the nicer more polite ones. If you are reading this and you are management, please, I implore you, train your staff to have some basic courtesy. I am so sick of the rudeness.

I stopped by this Harris teeter on my way home from work to pick up a few odds and ends. I bought milk, some fruit, and some veggies. Standard fare. After getting home and unloading groceries, i discovered that the box of clementines I had purchased contained clementines with visible mold covering half of the fruit, and the sealed bag of beans contained some sort of milky fluid, and expired almost a week ago. Both of these are things that i could have observed prior to completing my purchase - but I didnt think Harris teeter was the kindividual of grocery store that required that kind of caution. And after returning these items tomorrow, I will not be visiting this location again. And Ill think twice before trying any other HT location

This is a fine Harris Teeter, not excellent, but pretty good. The customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes, when something is wrong, they know how to make it right, other times (about 1/2 the time) they miss with poor customer service/helping. The produce is often old (maybe they dont rotate stock? IDK). But overall, it is plenty good enough to go to.
