Hops and Vines is an incredible experience for any new or seasoned home brewer, or just a lover of good beer and wine. It is owned by a super friendly local couple who are constantly attending and planning community outreach events. They really feel passionately about Asheville and beer and I love going to visit them in their incredible store. If they dont have it they will get it for you. I asked for a super hard to find pumpkin ale (I know Im basic) and the owner Alex went out of his way to find it for me so I can celebrate Halloween properly. They are knowledgeable, have a great store and are just genuinely a place you can feel good about shopping at. Highly recommend, I give them all the stars :)

Ive been shopping at hops and vines for a while now. The owner really knows his stuff when it comes to home brew, and can be especially helpful in making the jump from extract to all-grain or from bottling to kegging. The pricing is extremely reasonable, often lower than prices I find online (and I dont have to pay shipping!) On top of the great product selection, there is an awesome beer and wine portfolio, again with very reasonable pricing - often the best price in town. Tucked away in West Asheville, this is a quaint store that boasts quality and experience alike. Plus you can drink a beer while you shop!

After several moderately successful attempts at homebrewing, I found Hops and Vines on the way home from work. Not only could I sip on a cold brew while shopping, they had everything I needed to take my homebrewing projects to the next level. After taking Alexs homebrew class I made the best IPA Ive ever made, even my wife liked it and she doesnt drink beer! Lol. . . They actually have a great wine selection for her, and a world renowned craft beer section for me! I definitely recommend Hops and Vines for beginner, intermediate, or advanced homebrewers, or anyone else who is in persuit of quality.

In a rampant craft beer industry awash in neo-brewing jargon and latest-greatest breweries and quasi-styles, its refreshing to find a shop with easy-going authenticity. No one is trying to sell you on anything--theyll tell you something is swag if it is--but theyve got what you need both in homebrewing supplies and the finest craft beer. Have a feeling Ill be back, many times.

Best homebrew/bottle shop in Asheville! I get all my ingredients at Hops & Vines and its always decently priced and high quality. The homebrew night on the first Thursday of the month is the best way to get feedback on your homebrew. Plus you get to drink everyone elses beer which is always awesome. Bottom line this shop is awesome and you should go here.

This is a great place to get brewing supplies and they have a wonderful selection of high quality beverages. The owner is very approachable and is ready to share knowledge, along with the staff. You can even order a brew while you shop. Plus, if you are a student you get a 10% discount. Highly recommended.
