I bought a car from performance 2 days ago on September 1, 2016. Its a one owner low mileage hummer and I must say its actually extremely clean I will give them that. I dealt with Edwin and Lamar for most of the process and both were extremely nice and well spoken. I dealt with Jacob, the owner, when it came to negotiating and finalizing the deal, and he also was very nice. We finally came to an agreement and I must admit it was a fair price for the car. Theres just one problem. On my way back from purchasing the car the check engine light started flashing, and this was during extremely light highway driving (keeping her extremely low rpms and at the speed limits). This amazed me because of how clean the car looked and how low the mileage was. But then the light stayed on. This was now about an hour later and about 90 miles since I purchased this beauty. All temperatures looked fine and the car drove alright too, so I was hoping it was just the transition from sitting around so long to finally getting used and that the light would go away, but it stayed on. So I called them up, and spoke to Edwin. I told him exactly what was going on, and that its only been a few hours (<150 miles) since I bought the car and the check engine light went from flashing to now staying on. He was surprised and put me on hold for less than a minute. He very respectfully apologized and reminded me that Im double covered, both by the warranty that they provide when you buy a car from them which was a month/ a few thousand miles, and also I had purchased an extended warranty that actually covers a lot, so the car had both warranties going for it. We then agreed that I would bring the car in Tuesday morning, and theyd take care of it for me. I asked if I would have to pay for this and he reassured me that because I had purchased the car a few hours ago, and was double covered, that I wouldnt be paying anything, and that theyll take care of me. If the problem is taken care of, and they handle it, then this will have been a pleasurable experience. I will keep this review updated accordingly with how things go with them.if they do take care of it, I will definitely give my recommendation and it will have been a 5 star experience for me. So lets hope that they keep their word, and if so then they will be getting a perfect review from me.

These guys are some of the most honest and fair mechanics and salesmen Ive ever done business with. My parents bought one of their cars from them, my sister and brother in law get their work done by them, and so do I. One day I was picking up my car from Performance (I brought my car there to have them fix what a previous shop misdiagnosed) I was telling them about my experience I just had the day before at the previous shop and how outrageous the bill was; and as I was handing them over the cash (they tend to take 10% off the bill when paying in cash) the cashier handed me back almost $400 out of the money I gave him. I didnt accept the money and insisted he keep it because of the honesty and quality service they perform. They are quick, honest, and genuinely good people. Ive never had or even heard of a mechanic giving back money because they felt bad about a non-affiliated mechanic shop basically robbing a customer. I cant express enough how great Performance Auto really is.

Most car dealerships lead you to believe theyre giving you the best deal around. Theres so much trickery in the business. What they dont want you to know is that youre not committed to them, even if youre leasing. Before you sign on the dotted line, you owe it to yourself to see the magnificent display of the best and most exciting cars ever parked in one spot. Thats Performance Motorcars of Dutchess where business is grounded in integrity. I had such a great experience with them. They had a car there that no one could find , but it found me . The staff is professional, courteous, accommodating , and HONEST !! They also negotiate very generously. Ive owned over 18 cars , and can say that I will be buying from them again! Just take a look , they have all the good stuff!

I have been a repeat customer of Performance for many years. Jacob and his team have always gone above and beyond for me every time I needed anything. They have also helped my daughter when she purchased a new car, even though she didnt purchase it from them. Johnny in the service department made sure the car was safe for her to drive which was reassuring to me. Jacob has never been anything but 100% honest with me with any questions I have no matter how silly it may be. I just brought my father there to by a truck and Jacob again went above and beyond and undercoated the truck for free, which made my father happy. Performance Motorcars has EXCELLENT customer service and care more about their customers than any other car dealer around

This dealership handled my request perfectly. I loved the model they had on the lot but I hated the color. Jacob was more than happy to search high and low for the particular model and color I wanted. Needless to say, he found it! I have never been more excited than when Jacob showed me the car of my dreams, right in my price range. I searched many other dealers before trying Performance, but after seeing Jacob donated a van to a local charity, I decided to try it. Jacob is truly a first class businessman and did everything in his power to make me happy!

I bought my 03 Chevy Silverado here and I truly enjoyed the experience. The sales dept made me feel very comfortable with this purchase. The service dept is second to none. Most car dealerships treat you like a number after you purchase from them. Not at Performance. John the service manager has always been a man of his word. Jacob the owner always says hello and asks how Im doing when Im there for service. I will buy my next vehicle from them and recommend Performance on 9 to anyone considering purchasing a quality used vehicle.

EDIT: Please do not believe the spin in the response. Our experience was absolutely horrid and we were treated like trash by Jacob. Astounding incompetence from the owner. Convinced his 04 Impreza was perfect, when it clearly had leaky head gaskets. He proceeded to shout at and berate us for taking it to our personal mechanic, threaten to raise the price if we took it to the Subaru dealer, and blatantly pointed out the excessive oil between the head and the block as "normal." Never, ever, EVER give them your business.

We came to this dealership not knowing what to expect. We bought a beautiful 2012 Honda Civic EXL at a great price. Lifetime oil changes, free towing and yearly inspection are great perks. Performance Motor Cars is very UNIQUE!!! The owner Jacob is an incredible humanitarian and gives back greatly to the community. I had no idea. I highly recommend this dealership over all others and I have used many. Lamarr the salesman did a perfect job. We pick the car up and find out it has a remote starter!!! Just Fantastic!!!
