I was totally disappointed with the service I received from Taft Furniture in Saratoga. We went in on a Friday night, My Boyfriend, My daughter and I to pick up a bedroom set - I needed the Bedroom set to be delivered to me before the following Saturday, as I had company coming in and had no bed for them to sleep on. They told us the delivery would be the following Friday and that the mattresses would be coming in the day before (which made me a little nervous because I wanted to make sure I had the furniture before my company came). We made plans with my other daughter to take the day off on Friday so that she could accept the furniture delivery, as they said they would be calling with a 3 hour delivery window. I received a call the following Wednesday at 2:31 PM telling me my furniture would be delivered on Thursday between 9 and 12 (the next day)! When I told the woman on the phone that there was no way I could have the delivery on Thursday because they told us Friday and I had no one at the house to accept the furniture, she said if she couldnt do it on Thursday they would have to deliver it the following week!! Well that wouldnt work, as I have company coming in on Saturday with no where to sleep. I than called the Saratoga office and explained my dilemma - they told me that the paperwork said that it would be delivered on Thursday! The salesman however, said Friday, all 3 of us heard it. So there was nothing that they could do. After speaking with a Manager she did refund my $49.95 delivery fee. I found someone to come to the house and sit so that I could get my delivery on Thursday (which was not easy, at the last minute!) Thursday comes and they deliver the bedroom set around 10:30 am, I get a call from my Stepdad at 11:00 am who informs me that they forgot to load the hardware on the truck to put the bed together, they would have someone come back later with the hardware to put the bed together. Being I had to scrounge around at the last minute to find someone to sit at the house, my stepdad was only available until 12:45 as he had an appointment. I called and spoke with the Delivery dept. and was told that there was no way they could get the hardware there by that time, we worked it out to where they are going to drop it off at my Work (thanks to Ian) and We will put the bed together when I get home. Just so very disappointed with everything that happened! I always shopped at Taft in the past, not sure I will ever go back.

I purchased a full sized bed and frame, from Taft, about a year ago. When I put sheets on the matress, I noticed a tear on it. I called and they delivered a new one, about a week later, AFTER having me take pictures and email them to management. I decided Id try Taft again, and made a purchase on February 8, 2012. The estimated delivery date was March 9, 2012 b/c the furniture was apparently on back-order. They told me theyd call me when the pieces arrived at their location. I never received a call, and WHEN I CALLED THEM, I was informed that the furniture was in stock but they could NOT set a delivery time until the bill was paid in full. (I had only been asked to put a $200 deposit down at the time of purchase). So, how long were they going to wait to call???? THEN, when they delivered the furniture, the delivery men "discovered" a HUGE tear which looked like a knife cut to me. They took the plastic off while the sofa was still on the truck and this is when they noticed it. (I think they should probably check the merchandise BEFORE delivering it, but thats just my opinion!) They called their manager and said the next delivery would be on March 21, 2012. HA! I called on the 21st....no sofa! Asked me WHO told me that the sofa would be delivered then. Acted as if it was my fault that I was misinformed by their staff. At this point, I told them I may just cancel the whole order and return the 2 pieces that were already delivered. The woman said that was "fine" and didnt even offer to try to make things right! (I decided to keep the furniture because I REALLY like the looks of it.) They then gave me an "estimated" arrival date of April 9th 2012 for the sofa. They called today (March 26th) and said the sofa arrived, and the next available delivery date of April 3, 2012. I asked if it was possible to get it earlier since Ive been so inconvenienced.....NOPE! HA! Guess what, NEVER AGAIN! Friends had warned me about Taft, but Im willing to give businesses a chance. I will say that the saleswoman was friendly and not pushy at all. I will spread the word!

It is a shame that a store with such good prices is met with such poor service. Overall I would describe my experience with Taft as extremely unfortunate because I see potential in that store based on their prices and selection. We were looking to spend over $3000+ in furniture and were not treated well at all, there was no initiative to make the sale. The process which could have been quick was drawn out over the span of a week due to an associate never returning our phone call knowing we wanted to spend a considerable amount of money. We were initially greated by a rude blonde saleswoman, and actually sought out another sales rep because we did not want to deal with this lady after our first interaction. We left that day asking for follow up and there was none. After calling a couple times and finally going in, I have to say that I could not wait for the situation to be done and over with. What they make up for in price, they completely lack in customer service and professionalism. The SUPERVISOR ordered a pizza behind the counter on the salesfloor before checking me out to schedule delivery. Seriously?? This was definitely far from a fast, fun or friendly experience. If I hadnt liked the styles of furniture I picked out I would have definitely taken my business elsewhere and I will definitely not be shopping at this location again. If you are interested in a place that is looking to take your money and run, then this is the furniture store for you!

The only reason Im even giving a 2 star rating is because all of the associates we worked with were very professional and kind. However, the bedroom set I bought looks beautiful but has been a nightmare!! We purchased the MB43 Queen Storage bed with matching dresser w/ mirror & night stand and a Beautyrest Recharge mattress. First, the queen mattress is to small for the queen size bed frame even with a thick bedspread. This is a big problem because remember this is a storage bed so, any little and even some big things that can fall between the 3-4 inch gap, does!! In the first 5-6 months even though we had not slept in the bed for approximately half of that time, the bed squeaks terribly any time one of us moves!! One of the slats have come loose and for whatever reason no matter how many times we tighten and adjust the screw it just keeps happening. The mattress has to be one of the most uncomfortable mattresses Ive ever owned!! The dresser drawer isnt shutting flush like it should and is now rubbing on the center support and wearing the varnish! The only thing we havent had any issues with is the night stand. I dont usually give negative reviews but, I am sorry this has been a huge headache
