Been coming here since I moved to Oceanside in 2005. The owner is a very nice and funny guy. He always makes you feel welcome. The employees are equally as nice. They always accommodate me and give me the meat or chicken exactly how I like it (even if they have to spend an extra few minutes on it to trim it or make it thinner. They always give great suggestions for the dish you are making, and if you dont need the top of the line steak for whatever it is your making, they tell you so you dont have to spend a lot of money. They love to give sample tastings of their sides like string beans with garlic and oil or their Mac and cheese or their chicken nuggets made fresh to order. This butcher has steakhouse quality meat and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

The best butcher/Italian food market I have ever been to in my life, and certainly the best in Oceanside and Long Island as well. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! The best filet mignon I have ever eaten! Also the best eggplant parm, chicken fingers, penne ala vodka with chicken, and the best banana bread! Check this place out ASAP you will be so glad that you did. If G-d has a butcher and an Italian Food Market up in heaven then U-Need-A-Prime Meats is doing the cooking! Trust me it is worth paying more for this kind of high quality meat and classic Italian food! This place is YUMALICIOUS!

Great prime cuts. Its not cheap but you get what you paid they say. If you can afford a $40 prime cut, get the Barrons steak. It blew my mind. One of the best prime cuts I ever had. Friendly staff. As soon as you get in they stuff you with cheese samples. Will definitely come back.

Old school is the best school. This place is great. Great food, great staff. I moved off Long Island a few years ago (Thank God) but anytime Im back I stock up. Flank Steak, chicken cordon bleu, best burgers your ever going to find. *Sniff*.... I miss them just writing this!
