This place is awesome, some of the best employees Ive ever met at a coffee shop. Super informative, and friendly! Willing to answer any and all questions I had. I ordered one thing and the barista suggested something better, thank god for that guy. It is in the hood by worth seeking out, but I guess some of the best places anywhere are where youd least expect them. Im starting to really enjoy coffee shops!

When you imagine a neighborhood coffee joint, this is exactly what you hope it would be. The beans are roasted locally in the Bronx, the coffee is genuinely good with plenty of interesting options, they use Battenkill milk (fave!), and the owners are both hands-on and super friendly. Its just a short jaunt from the northeast corner of Central Park, and definitely worth the stop.

This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Nice atmosphere, kind and knowledgable staff, decor that acknowledges the history of its location. Limited munchies but good coffee and espresso. Free wifi is limited to an hour (with the option to buy a longer pass), but its a good little place to stop by and get some quick work done while you get a caffein boost.

This place is cozy and laid back. They have creative and delicious snacks that vary from time to time. The cafe also has many milk alternatives which is awesome if youre lactose intolerant and still like to enjoy lattes! Its also easy to get to, the 6 train is on the same block. If you like a more personal touch to your coffee this place is great!

I was visiting Harlem and couldnt find an open coffee shop. This place popped up on my map and I wasnt disappointed. I had an iced mocha and I took his advice and ordered an Earl Grey latte for my very picky friend. We both loved our drinks. I loved the quaint feel of the place and that the barrista took me completely out of my Starbucks box.

Uptown Roasters is one of the newer cafes to grace East Harlem. Though it is a small and cozy place, it is nice to stop in during colder days. The coffee is awesome and its great to know that it is roasted in the Bronx. Also, the barista who tended to us was very nice and conversant. Great place to find locals and visitors alike.

Awesome small cafe in the middle of East Harlem. Its small, but clean and nice. There are some seats near the window that are nice to sit and people watch. The coffee is always good. I usually get a cold brew and my husband has liked practically everything he has tried.

The two owners are so cool and gracious. Had a nice chat with them briefly and turns out theyre a married couple from Ohio. The coffee is really good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of some good coffee for a reasonable price.
