I was married this past October and New City Florist A.K.A Avas was contracted for the decorations, We requested flower dyeing and here is where it begins we provided a color swatch to ensure the proper color we had requested blue however rather then call us and inform us that the blue wasn't working he sent us teal flower! While our request for blue may not have been possible a goos bizz would have called and informed us ahead of time so we could address the issue. Next he failed to deliver several key items and when confronted about it he immdediately insisted that the place had "stolen or misplaced them". While I could go on the point is simple! This florist is nothing like they were years ago! There is no customer service ! There is no buisness sense ! & there is no quality ! Do yourself a favor and find another florist

DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! I was searching for a florist to help me with a funeral arrangement for my grandmother at a local funeral home. I cant express how unhappy I was. While be in the shop, it took someone almost 10 minutes to even notice I was there, I chose a floral piece and was promised it would be exactly like the picture shown. The man who helped me seemed to be preoccupied with something else.. he was rude and non sympathetic with my situation. I then left the store not feeling comfortable and on the day of the wake the flowers never showed. I was mortified!!! I Then called another local florist and they delivered an arrangement to my expectations in less than an hour. I strongly recommend using ant other shop but this one, for any of your floral needs. Big Time JOKE!!!! I order a Hersheys Tin Full of candy bars to include a matching tote bag. I upscaled my order for it was to be sent to a young girl who had just learned she had breast cancer and had to have surgey ASAP. What was sent was a cheap dollar store basket with crackers and junk, wrapped like it was done by a 6 year old and a dollar store pull bow. The basket was left on the ground. Now here it is Thursday and this florist still has not fixed the order. I was told yesterday they had everything for the correct order and it was a mistake. Now today I am told they dont have the order but will send the bag with candy. I cant wait to see this. The only way I would use this company gain is if I wanted to send something to someone I HATED. My next stop is the Better Business.

I have several customers that I send Holiday Flower Arrangements and Fruit and Gourmet Baskets to. This year I decided to use my local flower shop, New City Florist rather than one of those big companies. They were so helpful in taking all my orders, making recommendations, and helping me feel 100% at ease with using them for all these important customers. A few of my customers have already called thanking me for the Beautiful Flowers and Plants and the Delicious Fruit and Gourmet Baskets, I plan on placing all my orders with them in the future.

I called New City Florist because its listing shows a local address but the call was forwarded to an out of state florist. Then I was placed on hold for way too long. My first impression was quite bad so I decided, thanks but NO thanks to this company, whoever they are. I needed a LOCAL florist for Higgins funeral home. I did another search and come up with Basset florist and they actually have a store front on the same street. Basset Florist was very courteous and the order was processed within minutes of my placing the call.

I love this place because of the following reasons: 1.) They have a beautiful large selection 2.) Price is very reasonable 3.) Their flowers are always fresh unlike other places 4.) Their flowers hold up for the longest time 5.) They always deliver on time. Over the years I came to know the owners Rene, very nice guy and very easy to work with.

I had the most unbelievable sympathy flowers delivered to Higgins Funeral home. I had a bad experience with another florist in town that will remain nameless but I think the funeral home recommends them only because the make a commission. New City Florist is so much better then all the other florists in the area. I highly recommend them.

paid 80.00 for an order through them they wired it to another shop and did not even tell them exactly what I requested, they generalized what I asked for, and then they promised me something without evewn asking the filling florist if it was even possible. They are terrible next time just call your local florist :O

I love this place . The flowers are vibrant, live longer than other flowers I have purchased from other shops, and service is second to none. Rene, the owner is a really nice guy and always comes through with great product. I come from Suffern to New City to buy my flowers. You wont be disappointed.

Ive visited the store on 5/30 customer service was very freindly arrangement of my order was done as ordered paid attention to each detail of my questions ive had the flowers after all set and done was stuning i would recommend this place .

HORRIBLE FLORIST!! Did not deliver flowers on Valentines Day, said they would deliver them tomorrow. RIDICULOUS. Called customer service twice and got disconnected twice after being on hold forever. STAY AWAY!
