My husband and I separately went to Larchmont Vision Care to get our eyes checked and get glasses. Pros: Good optometrist (would give her 4-5 stars). She is efficient and competent. Easy to get appointments including Sat hours. Cons: the store and contents feel a bit dated. Staffs attention to customer service could use some improvements - especially on Saturday(1 star). The store doesnt get packed but when they have more than 2-3 customers, they seem incapable of providing proper customer care. My husband was told his glasses would be ready in 20 min and in fact we ended up waiting for over an hour and then the glasses had a chip in one of the lens (how could they not notice??) so we ended up spending over 2 hours. Had we known, we would have stepped out to get some food in between. There was another customer who was there in the beginning of the visit and then came back to pick up her stuff and saw us and went:"wow, you guys have been here a long time!" no kidding. If you can go there during the day on a weekday which I did for my glasses , service is much better. thus the overall "meh" rating of 3 stars.

Horrible customer service!!! -They didnt confirm demographic info -They didnt call me when glasses were ready - When I called to see if they were ready, I was told they werent -After I picked up my glasses and called about my problem with glasses, front desk tells me my glasses werent ready??/ (But I had them!!) They had my glasses ready 4 days after my visit with Dr. Rosillo and never called me. I called 3 times after my visit asking if my glasses were ready and Danielle would tell me I would get a call when ready. The 4th time I called, Danielle told me they were ready since 4 days after my visit. they called the wrong number. When I complained, no apologies, she just told me it was out of her control.Even better, when I picked up my glasses, the lens was not in correctly. I spoke to the manager, Tony, about customer service and told me there is nothing he can do except fix my glasses. when I dropped off my glasses, Danielle tended to me and NO Apologies for their error. However, Dr. Rosillo was thorough. Sad she has such poor customer service representing her service.

I really like the optometrist. Shes a nice person. But I have been going here for a few years now and each time the experience is less than favorable. I have tried to chalk it up to circumstances but I think its just the overall customer service environment. Which means its standard operating procedure. Today, I took my son to get fitted for new contacts and an already challenging situation became super frustrating. People coming in and out of the fitting room for files, literally turning off the lights without notice or communication (during my sons attempt to put a contact lens in his eye) in order to bring another patient in to run a test and constant interruptions with requests if he wanted to come back for a second session. These were all indications that we were "in the way" and added to my sons anxiety and thua my frustration. Seems like their business model is based solely on sales not product, quality or customer service. Left feeling really dissatisfied. :(

I am a longtime customer of Larchmont Vision Care. What keeps bringing me back is this businesss integrity, people, expertise and high-quality service and products. The team at Larchmont Vision Care is top-notch. Dr. Gina Rossillo does a most thorough examination and never keeps you waiting on an appointment. John Dello Russo and Tony can tell from just looking at you what style will work best with your face and prescription (though they will happily let you take your time browsing). And the front desk staff are invariably courteous and helpful. Together, they make the whole experience of buying glasses totally painless -- while delivering great value for the price. My glasses always look great, and even my toughest style critics -- my wife and my daughter -- agree. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my glasses -- and I travel all the way from Manhattan. It truly is worth it.

This guy did everything he could NOT to help me. I went in with a scrip for my elderly mother who lives in PA and cannot travel to get a replacement for the glasses she lost. First he wanted to know whether she needed glasses to see close up or far away, so I called my mom and decided that she could use progressive lenses, which are bifocals without the line. Without giving any options, he flat out refused to make the glasses without first seeing her, something I told him was not possible. I ordered the glasses online instead using the prescription I had. This follows an experience I had where I was told they would call me when my sons glasses were ready. After waiting 2 weeks without hearing anything, I called and sure enough they were ready. I asked why I didnt get a call and was told they did call me, which was an outright lie. THE WORST!

The optometrist was great, really personable and thorough. There was a somewhat seamless transition to pick out lenses, but the prices were hilarious for the frameless glasses - not Larchmont Vision Cares fault - but how do you charge $500 for just the nose bridge and ear bars (whatever theyre called)....thats highway robbery.

Have been getting my glasses here since I was a kid. Doctors are always different (and not always nice) but picking out glasses and picking them up is always quick and easy. Accidentally forget a pair there for a year, and they still had it when I finally came to pick it up.

Every time I go there its like every other person is top priority. They really no how to make you feel unwanted. Im changing to a new optometrist, this is ridiculous. Its 05/18/15 and this place unfortunately, might as well have a line for colored and white.

Good selection and great location but the people answering the phone are not very helpful and slow. A lot of phone handoffs and then I keep having to repeat my question, name, etc.
