I am traveling from out of town. I stop in to see if they have something I need for a bike ride. While they dont carry exactly what I needed, they took time to help me with a few questions on had on local terrain and resources....calling friends, referring to others, and offering to help in any way they could. Service is best demonstrated when you are past a sale or better yet when there is no sale to be made but an opportunity to help with little or no direct benefit. This is the type of shop I would trust for consultations and to stand behind what they sell.

The shop and employees are the real deal. Most if not all of the staff are real runners, some at a high competitive level. Ian (the owner) is a huge supporter and organizer of local and regional races. Would totally recommend any race he is organizing. They sell quality stuff, and are not a big discounter, but if youre looking for advice and good products theyre a good fit. Helped me find arch supports when I was having some foot pain, which has improved things. They also have a good variety of GU packets / race food products.

I shop FLR&T regularly because I like their friendly and informative service. I stopped buying my shoes online and now buy only at the store because their prices are competitive, there are no shipping fees, and if there are size issues with new models, they re-order immediately. Were lucky to have a running store of this quality in Ithaca.

Staff has been very helpful, points out local running trails, and even randomly gave me a free t-shirt when I bought bar tape there once. I have not, however, tried to get fitted for a bike or anything.

Great for runners and their variety of shot blocks. Not much bike stuff for a tri store. Their main focus seems to be running and swimming.
