Returning a pair of vibram shoes, this guy (the owner) would not take them back. He became very nasty using 4 letter words. Now how do you expect to gain customers like that. Not to mention the he was creating store policies as the argument went on. OK this moron tried to compare a pair of shoes to an electronic device!!!!! He then told me that they take back shirts hats and sandals but not shoes!! His " store policy" is store credit within 10 days and no returns on electronic devices. If you have purchased anything form this guy take it back like I did. He will be nice just to get your money! He will also say and do anything to keep it too. The best part of the whole thing is when this fool started yelling and waving his arms around behaving like a 5 year old brat!!! Wow this guy is dumb. If he was worried about hygiene then offer some slip on throw away socks. Nope, not his store. I watched several people try on those shoes bare foot and then put them back in the box! Shop on-line there are many stores that will take back their product with out any hassle and drama. He had no choice but to give me store credit after he refused to do so before hand. I spent it right at that moment, I dont want to waste time and fuel going back! Hey buddy (owner) some wise words be respectful when spoken to with respect and wash your mouth out with soap you aint that tough at all!!

I dont know about all these negative remarks about the owner. Both Glen and Laurie have never been anything but great to me and my family in the 14 years weve shopped there. I suspect people misread his passion. Glen has spent years living the sports and gear he sells. He is sometimes passionate to the point where his energy gets very high, as he is so passionate. Is he a bit all over the place when showing folks around? YES! Because he is happy to see you. He loves sharing the things they sell, and I would suggest people are confusing pushy, with being exciting and wanting to share. Some people just have trouble understanding the difference. As far as impatient, in a small shop when there are more than one or two customers, and folks on the phone, they cannot take care of everyone at the same time. This is where patience comes into play. Sorry, but I say nonsense to this, and the racist remarks. They are great people, and their shop is one of a kind.

Granted this dude has some awesome stock, but the owner is a complete jerk and a VERY aggressive/pushy salesman. I ordered an expensive longboard from him, and the next day when I came in to say hi and place another order, he didnt even recognize me. Not to mention he kept bashing my current equipment I was using. He was very rude about my equipment, and stated the board I was riding (which is a prototype..only about 5 exist) was a terrible board and he seems about 10 of them a week broken. Funny, its not on the market yet! Not a good way to make friends or set a nice impression. I will continue to browse through his store, but only to browse. Ill do my purchasing online.

My curiosity got me here. I called asking about freebord. I was also thinking of making other purchases like knee pads and wrist guards. The guy who answered the phone was named Glen and he was extremely impatient, agressive, and rude. At one point he told me that he had a line of people waiting and I was taking too much of his time on the phone and then he hung up on me. it really got me wondered how a sales person would carry an attitude like that. Now after reading other comments I know he is the owner I am not as surprised. Maybe he is making good money he doesnt give a damn. Anyway I would never buy anything from this place.

We were looking to purchase a pair of rollerblades. The shop owner was very pushy, racist, and sarcastic, on top of the fact that everything is overpriced. He pressured us to purchase items after my friend tried on ONE PAIR of rollerblade. "Hurry up I have better things to do, you want it or no??(He had no customers in the store) When we left he told us "Thanks for wasting my morning". We were there for 20 minutes! We were actually gonna buy it the next day b/c of convenience and urgency, but there was no way that we were ever gonna buy anything after the way he treated us. NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!

Glen is awesome, and SUPER knowledgeable on everything he sells. When I asked him about a specific Arcteryx jacket or mid layer, he showed me the ones he personally used , the advantages,and how best to layer with each one. I also recently went in to look at a boosted board. to no surprise, he pulled out his own, and showed me all the miles he has logged on it and how awesome the board is!! I was sold. We got one, the Dual+, and Im looking into getting another one. This is the place to shop , he is the best!

I had quite an opposite experience to the previous reviewer. I called earlier in the week to check if they still had a specific Never Winter snowboard in stock and they were more than happy to put it on hold for me. When I came in a few days later to pick it up, everything was ready to go and both the owner and another employee were very friendly and informative. It made me very glad to be giving the business to a local shop and not an online retailer. Thanks guys!

I always found the staff to be great. The Owner is the best at sharpening skis and waxing them. The best I have found. The prices are expensive but that is because he always buys the best. The rentals are also the best. When you rent skis you are renting 1000.00 skis which he sells at the end of the season to get new skis.

like the first review the man was extremely pushy, was either very grumpy that day or appeared to be racist. They seem to realize that were customers and they are here for us. I would like to say more but in doing so would cost me a new computer screen so Ill hold what I have to say

One of my favorite specialty stores in Huntington. I dont ski but their sunglasses, watches, clothing, etc. are cutting edge and Glen couldnt be more helpful.
