Have a hard time understanding the reviews. Great selection of art supplies of any kind. Sure, the check out can be long. I mostly use the framing department and they are priced competitively, very friendly and they have a good eye for art. They have done some more unusual work for me and over the last 2 years alone probably framed at least 30 works of art, including shadow boxes for valuable signed soccer collector jerseys, very large vintage posters, Star Wars vintage storyboards, a collage from newspaper clips with very precise custom made cut-outs and a more complex frame resembling the flag of my country as well as more simple standard framing jobs. I HIGHLY recommend their framing!!! Very nice guys - and their work is most definitely worth a wait if they are busy, but they take great care of framing jobs large and small - weather you spend $100 or $1,000 on a framing job!

Ive been a Michaels shopper for years, but I will not visit the Hartsdale, NY location again. Ive been in there on several occasions because its the closest location, but the staff is consistently unfriendly and many seem to lack common knowledge regarding their cake decorating classes and general merchandise. Even after waiting half an hour, being told four different things and speaking to the manager I was unable to get an answer regarding their classes which definitely proves I should not shop there again. Ive never been so disgusted by a staff, and would not mind their complete lack of knowledge if they had better manners. I highly recommend finding another location, as I will do the same.

Too few staff, long wait at the register - every single time. Just do not go between the hours of 4:30pm and 7pm on weekdays - you will wait in line half an hour or more. While I have encountered some nice staff, 9/10 of employees are unhelpful when you ask questions about products they sell... that is if you can find an employee on the floor. Dont bother asking for a manager, s/he isnt to be found either. At another Michaels I filled out some paperwork and was issued a tax exempt card. When I tried to use for its intended purpose at this store they had no idea what it was, so more paperwork.

This is a good find for the artsy fartsy crafters. Cheaper than other craft shops and lots of supplies. Come in with a good idea for your project and walk down the aisles to see what creative ideas pop out at you. I have used this store for many innovative projects for my own children as well as my class. Its an experience to enjoy crafts, so why not drop by with your children and let them create!? Better than a computer game and something they can make and use. Rated okay-since the staff really needs knowledge on how to be creative and helpful.

One person to help on the floor and he was MIA most of the time (plus, I saw him be very abrupt and rude to a FedEx worker, so I didnt really want to ask him for help). Roamed around for a while to find what I needed on my own. Line was long but moved fairly quickly.. items were neat and organized, but they didnt have bronze spray paint, which was the reason I went.

dont even bother calling to ask if something is in stock! they leave you on hold forever! I called hartsdale and was left on hold for 20 minutes before I just hung up, while I was on hold I called Port Chester from another phone and they had an answer for me in 5 minutes!..check out line is always very slow there in Hartsdale too...

The store has a nice assortment of craft supplies but thats where the good ends. No matter when you go they appear understaffed. You will wait in a line at the register; always. Ive never seen a store with such incompetent checkout before. Some of the staff are nice, but management seems to not care about their staff or store.

Good arts and crafts store. Great place to buy anything arts and crafts related and good prices. They have classes for kids and also have rooms that can be rented out for parties. Lines are not always the best, but arent too slow either. Overall good place.

I went there to order a custom frame for my picture. The staff were nice and helpful, price is a little higher than I expected, but I didnt have time for searching for better price anyway. And just FYI: you have to wait 2 weeks for custom made frame

Great store. Feel like a kid in a candy store when I visit. I always found it clean and orderly. And so many craft items to choose from. I especially like the drawing and painting supplies.

They have soo many supplies that are cheaper than many other Arts&Crafts stores. I loved it but there were too little staff. You will have to wait in line.
