For many years while visiting the Adirondacks we have stopped and purchased donuts from this shop. This week, while camping in the area, we stopped and had an extremely unpleasant experience. First off, they were sold out of donuts, which to me is like saying a gas station is sold out of fuel, but regardless, it wasnt a big deal. We could have came back another day, but the man behind the counter was extremely rude and belittling. Maybe he was having a bad day, but you dont treat customers like that. Im very disappointed because a place that gives me great nostalgia has left me bitter. That man lost some long time customers because of his rude comments. The mini donuts at the Candy Cottage in Old Forge are better in my opinion and made fresh right in front of you, and will be our new place to go for donuts.

My boyfriend and I were super excited to stop here because we love donuts. However, when we got here and looked at the menu, we found that there were only too kinds of donuts; cinnamon and plain. You would think there would be hundreds of kinds of donuts with a name like "The Donut Shop" but I guess not. They mostly sell tavern-like food which I never wouldve thought since, once again, its called "The Donut Shop." I just got a plain donut. It was pretty damn good but I was really looking forward to a huge variety.

I look forward to visiting this place every year. It never disappoints! The breakfast sandwiches are to die for! I often find myself craving one of the donuts or breakfast sandwiches along with the taste my mouth watering. Great food 10/10 would recommend.

Only serves cinnamon donuts. If you like cinnamon donuts then got there its worth it there the most freshest delicous donuts around

Always part of our annual pilgrimage to 4th Lake. Food always good. We Never come here without getting their cinnamon sugar donuts!
