This is a bookstore run by volunteers. Its a cool concept, but it means that sometimes they arent open during their posted business hours. Its a cute shop, but the staff member present when I was there seemed pretty clueless as to what they had and didnt have in stock. Im glad theres a bookstore in Crown Heights, but I wish it was easier to find what you were looking for.

The 5 star rating doesnt mean this is the Strand in Crown Heights or anything, but its a nice little community bookstore with a cool selection good vibes and friendly staff. At its old location it used to seemingly open and close of its own volition. In its new place the hours seem more consistent, which is a huge plus.

This is a very nice, small, local shop with an interesting selection of new & used books. The manager, Callie, is both knowledgeable and very nice. The shop is only partly staffed by volunteers. If its closed when you go by, come back again. Its worth the wait!

So much for the 11am - 7pm opening times. Ive just visited today (Wednesday 14th Sep 2016) at 2.30pm and it was closed with the shutters down and no information posted :(
