Avoid this place at all cost. The only good thing about this place is the fact that the frames are authentic....however, the old lady working there is truly awful. It is true what everyone else is saying...if she thinks you have money, she will charge you twice the regular amount for services/products. I recently bought a pair of Tiffany eyeglass frames (which I was a bit over-charged for, but didnt make an issue out of initially)...and then when I called her to place an order for contact lenses (2 boxes) she tried to charge me $90.00 FOR ONE BOX....Ive ordered contacts from boutiques in L.A./Manhattan and various places online and it is always a standard $40.00 per box for colored contacts. When I told her this, she told me she would "check with the company and then call me back." Its now the next day, and she has not called me back nor am I expecting her to. I plan to go to her store for the last time and pick up the copies of my prescription, n take my business elsewhere...I wouldnt even trust her to fax them to another store, given that she knows shes losing my business. The only good thing about this store is they have one optician in particular, who is very nice...and when she realized I was about to spend a considerable amount in her store, attempted to reduce the price on one of my purchases. Other than that....keep yourself and your wallet away from this store.

I went there because they took my insurance. Instead of the $60 that I was to pay for everything Empire told me that my insurance only covered the exam, $20. They said that my glasses would cost $300. I left and called my insurance and they said that Empire was to only accept $60 for everything and the insurance company would pay the rest. The insurance company offered to call them and explain but I told them not to bother. The people in Empire spoke English but then they would switch to Russian when they didnt want me to know what they were saying. Terrible place filled with rude people working there. Go someplace else to spend your money.

Приятное удивление) Зашла просто так! Посмотреть. Возились так старательно, перемерила кучу оправ, надавали советов. Шутя, смеясь. Люди настолько заинтересованы своей работой. И знают о ней все. За полчаса влюбилась в пару оправ и была очарована персоналом)

Horrible place! The doctor, who works with this store, totally unprofessional. My recipe was absolutely wrong! I suffer from headaches and dizziness for a month because the staff of this shop assured me that it happens with new glasses, and need to wait until my eyes will adjust to new glasses! I had to go to another doctor and to do eye exam again, and buy other glasses that fit perfectly. I just dont understand how such unprofessional place still exist, how such store and doctor are working!!! You are ruining our health! Avoid this place if you value your eye health!

If I could, I would give it a zero! I will be reporting this place to a better business bureau. They treated my mom like a second class citizen. The old grey hair woman is rude and obnoxious. She needs communication skills, or better yet to stay away from customer service. Prices are ridiculous. Stay away from this place
