I did my regular grocery shopping routine at Aldi as I always do but unfortunately Ive been having frequent bad experiences. Which really sucks because they have great products at very low prices and Id really hate it that I would have to stop going because of there terrible customer service. They really need to fix the whole cart system. What had happened was that I originally arrived at the cashier with one cart, but because my groceries were just thrown into my cart (bread smashed) it resulted in me needing two, I was willing to give her a quarter inexchange for the extra cart which she rudely refused and yelled, NO this is my cart!! I replied that I didnt have another cart and was again yelled at with the NO this is my cart!! I told her, how else am I supposed to take my groceries (my car was located on the roof) but again she replied with the NO this is my cart you cant take it!! I told her I would bring it back after but she refused. Long story short I told her I would bring it back and walked away with it because she was creating a huge scene that refused to be part off. Ps: Keep in mind that this isnt the first time that I ended up needing two carts, what the cashier did was ask for a quarter in exchange and we went our separate ways. I ended up giving her the cart back btw

Aldi is an interesting concept supermarket. Basically Aldi has 10% brand name stuff and everything else is store brand which in theory saves money. Aldi sells vegetables and fruit at a good price but youre playing the lotto since only half of the produce are fresh while the rest has been sitting there for weeks. The meat is at good prices but availability is limited. If you get there an hr or 2 before closing they might not have any left. The frozen store brand tastes good but they arent delicate with it sometimes. I had a pizza that was broken in pieces and a semi crushed ice cream cake. At the end of the day youre saving money by around 15% when you compare receipts but if youre going there for an entire shopping list of stuff, you will be disappointed. Id still go here to pick up small stuff but its not my primary place to shop. Since its still a new store hopefully theyll improve in the future. FYI: they only take cash, debit and EBT. They also dont give free bags. This doesnt bother me but it might deter some.

I finally stopped in this supermarket recently and was not very impressed at all. From the outside it looks like a large supermarket but once you step foot inside the store its a bit small. Once I looked around I also realized that most of the products were not name brands that I have ever heard of. I personally dont mind buying off brand food at times but some items in opinion cant be compromised. The check out line was extremely long and there was only one cashier working slow but steady. I dont care how much the discount - time is money and that wait cost me more than I saved by buying no frills food. I tried the garlic parmesan bread and it did not compare well in my opinion to the Pepperidge farm brand that I am used to but the tartar sauce was OK. I probably wont come back very often because Id rather spend my money on name brand food that I am sure tastes good and is edible.

Aldi is the best supermarket in Brooklyn period. The prices and quality of their food is superb and amazing. The supermarket is minimally dressed up but thats where they are able to cut prices. The food is fresh and amazing. Where else in Brooklyn can you spend $200 in groceries and feel like you spent $400? They have great Seafood in the frozen section. The Swai fillet is out of this world, the raw jumbo shrimp is delicious. The steak is perfect from skirt steak to filet mignon wrapped in bacon. The Tikka Masala sauce and Tandoori is beyond words. The Asian sauces far exceeds the quality of the Chinese Food you buy everyday. Their Almond Milk is delicious and eggs are so cheap. The pizza is better than most Pizzerias in Brooklyn. Please stop supporting these other places that rip you off. Visit Aldis and discover this gem of delicious high quality food in Brooklyn, NY.

I love aldi. I had been going to the east harlem location and recently moved to brooklyn and was sad to be without it. I could easily spend $30 in the regular grocery store on one bag of groceries when the same list would cost me 1/2 that in aldi. I travel 30 minutes out of my way by bus to get to this store and I love it and do all my shopping here. Yes there are little items that for nastalgia sake I buy elsewhere like I dont love the peanut butter. It isnt as sweet or as smooth as jiff or skippy but that isnt a deal breaker for me. I love that their produce is so well priced. They have frozen fruit for less than 1/2 of what you would pay anywhere else and I can afford to make my kids smoothies. I overall love this store. The quality is good, the variety is good and the prices dont break the bank. How can you beat that?

When I was younger, I remember my local Aldi being a place with slightly off produce and terrible generic everything, but times have changed. I now actually believe that this discount chain and Trader Joes are owned by the same company (which they are). The selection at this store is solid, and the deals on protein are a steal. Ive never had a problem with freshness. Also, theyre one of the places that I can consistently find pumpkin cream cheese, which I admit is a big draw for me. Dont forget to bring your own grocery bags and a quarter to be able to borrow a shopping cart.

Great prices and variety but some of the cashiers are extremely rude. Today, while checking out--the girl behind the register was looking at me in disgust and speaking to me in a abundantly rude tone while rushing me almost out the door When I first asked if there was any problem I was ignored, when I repeated myself I was told sarcastically "this is how we do things here". I find it extremely disappointing that a great company such as aldis--would hire people like her to handle customers with such respect and I cant help but feel discriminated by the way I was treated.

first of all, people need to get there facts straight. THEY ACCEPT DEBIT, FOOD STAMPS, AND CASH. no credit and its because the credit card company charges you interest so thats why you SAVE money at aldi. i wouldnt complain... same thing with the bags omg people is NOT A BIG DEAL ITS ONLY 11CENTS and if you dont want to spend money on that simply BRING YOUR OWN BAG! you can find 11cents in the streets! believe it or not aldi SAVES YOU MONEY!

Well, I’m actually from Chicago, Illinois and I’ve always enjoyed buying my food from Aldi which is what we call the stock up store. L.O.L Anyhow, I’ve always had some really good experiences with them simply because of the fact that Ive never had to worry about spending a arm and a leg with them, and I just love the food, you know. Each and every time I’m ready to buy more food for the month, I’ll be buying from Aldi.
