I used to work in this area for about two years, but I live in Queens. So i have been to a couple of bakeries in this area There are probably better bakeries here, then anywhere else in the city.I was just having some cake with some co workers from a fancy bakery in Manhattan, where probably the prices are two or three times as much. People were raving how great the cake was and I was thinking that is was nowhere as good as what I had at Morrones and for that matter the other bakeries that I have been to in the area. We really never get to the Bronx anymore and if I did I would certainly stop here for pastries and Dominics for Italian food.

So off the back the staff is super friendly and bubbly. All of the pastries and desserts look amazing and fresh. I purchased a Tiramisu and a strawberry cheesecake and I will say its good but I have definitely had better. But compared to many other none Arthur Ave this place has a nice vibe and taste to the pastry. My cons the Tiramisu was alittle soaked and the cheesecake was not soft enough so it made it slightly difficult when trying to slice and devour in my car. Still there is potential I will try there other items when next I am in the area.

This is a must stop for us when we are in the Bronx, usually after a visit to the zoo/botanical gardens and a nice Italian meal on Arthur Ave. The pastries are all delicious. I wish I could buy all of it but not a wise idea waist wise. The small long shop has table but we just get it to go. The smell of delicious confection hits you when you enter. The long glass cabinet shows off the endless variety of cookies and pastries. The service is friendly and quick on a first come first serve.

Great selection of cheesecake, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods with a focus on Italian goodies. Wonderful tasting and reasonable prices. Friendly, efficient staff. A true NY bakery, a must go.

Decent prices for decent pastries -- their cookies are beautiful but nothing special in taste. The sfogliatelle was quite good though, with a particularly rich interior

The pastries are to die for, absolutely delicious. So many choices, dont know what to pick when i visit, but today I had a chocolate cannoli and I was in heaven.

Lobster tails and cannolis are out of this world! This bakery stays open a little later than the rest in this area, which i also love.

Rainbow cookies are great. Cannoli, not as good. They dont fill the cannoli all the way, so the middle is just an empty shell.
