This store suffered from a fire years ago and when they renovated it, the store became absolutely beautiful. The food is always fresh. Theres a good selection of products and the deli is well stocked. The employees there are nice, helpful and respectful. There are not too many supermarkets in Norwood but this surpasses the other choices such as Key Food on Jerome or Fine Fare on Gun Hill Rd.

We have been shopping at foodtown for over 5 years now. Yes the prices are overpriced but the service is great. This week my son was very sick and I couldnt take him out. I needed some groceries to make soup at home. I called at 9 am and Cynthia who works there sent someone in an hour to deliver my groceries. She took my order over the phone and was very kind. That is priceless for me.

This is the 3rd time i had a problem. First time i bought milk exp. Date was ok but when i got home 2 blocks away it had chunks of sour in it. 2nd bought chicken wings they look ok from the package. When you take it out to clean them the other side of wing were brown. This last time i bought jones sauchge 2/5.00 got home 11/23/16 . The ecp. Date was 07/17/2016 .

I really like it here for the convenience, its an old family owned grocery store. The deli has a large selection of meats & cheese, fresh baked items on premises and a large frozen food section. The staff seems knowledgeable and friendly plus theyve just installed 4 automatic or self-service pay registers for faster service.

Way too over priced Id rather make the trip to western beef were I would have over 20 grocery bags worth of food costing me no more then $100 compared to this store spending the same amount for 8 bags they are taking advantage since its the only one in the neighborhood.

It is pretty clean. Food quality is good. Prices are reasonable. Lines can be long only 2 checkout. But the automated checkout is horrible. It kept saying I had extra or missing items from my bag after I just rung it. It took over 15 minutes to check out. Never again.

Its small for all the stuff you can find to buy there. And the lines at register can slow down easily. Also bumping into others in the isles is frequent. The area before the registers is too short so moving around when theres more than a few customers is common.

I love Foodtown so much, the employees are so friendly and I look forward to seeing them and talking to them, they all know me by my name even the boss Bobby calls me by my name, I feel at home when Im there shopping, its the best supermarket in the world.

The most expensive supermarket I have seen in the NYC area and considering that the Bronx is the poorest borough, this doesnt make any damn sense. They will give you a "club card", but when you try to pay $5 worth of something they want you to show ID, WTF?

This store lacks customer service, they sell expired food and will try to sell you packets of any item that are not complete at full price. This store is an extremely poor excuse of a store and should be shut down and replaced with Stop N Shop, ASAP!

Too expensive, unless your a member and use your card. Theres not that much available for such high prices. Checkout area is pretty small which makes the line confusing. Dont think self checkout is very effective

Its a little expensive, and doesnt always have the best meat and produce, but its super convenient for this neighborhood and they do online delivery as well as in store delivery. Their sales are really good too.

This place is always stock with fresh food, nice deals and you might find things here you might not find nowhere else. I would of giving it 5 stars but the lines sometimes can be crazy.
