Today I went in to CVS on Upper Front St. Binghamton, NY. I needed to pick up some Claritin and CVS has always been my preferred drug store. I had never purchased the product before, so I was suprised to find that it was not next to all the cold/allergy medicine. Instead there was a little card that told me to pick up the Claritin at the pharmacy counter. I waited in the pharmacy drop off line for about 5 minutes, handed my little card to the guy behind the counter. He gave me the Claritin and told me I could pay at the register. I walk up front to check out, then all hell broke loose. The cashier couldnt sell it to me without checking my ID, then the shift supervisor comes over and freaks out because youre not supposed to pay for it up front, its against the law, and you must pay for it at the pharmacy counter. Then the shift supervisor makes me walk back to the pharmacy because he needs to know who gave me the Claritin. I tell him I dont want to get anyone in trouble, he assures me I wont, so I tell him who gave it to me. Then the shift supervisor rudely tells the pharm. tech who handed me the claritin that you cant do that, it needs to be paid for back here. Then the pharm tech starts flipping out saying it was my fault, that he told me to pay for it at the pharmacy, then says I was "lazy, and I didnt want to wait in the pharmacy line, and that I was malicious". Of course this jerk didnt realize I was standing right there and heard everything. So I told him that next time hes going to complain about customers make sure theyve left the building first. So heres the bottom line CVS...how dare you allow your employees to treat your customers this way. I will never buy another product from this location, or any CVS location ever again. I will tell friends, family, and whoever else about my shopping experience. Also, I will make all my future pharmacy purchases at Rite-Aid and Walgreens.

For the past 3 days I have been trying to get my childrens medication’s filled from this place. First day I went the lady told me my oldest ‘wasn’t covered’ so I needed to call my insurance company and find out what happened. So I did they had no idea what the problem was so they told me to go back and try again. I go back I give the girl my son’s card, which I had given the night before as well, and she goes ‘oh that’s because what we have on file is different from this’ well that would be why I gave them the card the night before. Then while I was there I had to pick up my younger son’s breathing medication, which they informed me my insurance had refused to cover so they were waiting on news from the doctor to get a new prescription. So my son had to suffer another night because of this and because they never called me to tell me this I didn’t find out till after work and the doctor’s office was closed. I called them in the morning and my doctor’s head nurse tells me that it was already handled and she personally had spoken to them and they had assured her it was fine. So I had to drive back over there and get it. Luckily before I left I asked if my son’s card was in the bag, it wasn’t, the guy looked around said he couldn’t find it and they could ‘mail’ it to me. I left extremely upset. Not only did they screw up two prescriptions they lost my son’s card and the best they could do was ‘mail’ it to me if they found it. I’m never getting another prescription or anything else from this store!

This stores pharmacy has been really failing in the customer service area lately. I, in person, droped off my mother my mothers cancer related perscriptions to be picked up the next day at 9:30 am. Here we are at 1pm the next day she is in terrible pain now due to running out of meds and they still dont have her meds ready for her. They have been saying "they will be ready soon" for the last 3 hours! Seeing my mother in pain that could have been easily avoided makes me angry. Cvs needs to take care of business and do better business if they want to KEEP my BUSINESS.

Went to print some photos at the "do-it-yourself" photo kiosk. I asked one of the employees for help and she told me that something couldnt be done (that I later figured out for myself could be done} and then she quickly dismissed me "to attend to another customer". Note to employee: If you dont know what youre doing, either say so or get help from someone who does. Note to manager: Customers dont care much if your employees are pretty. They care more that theyre competent.

Son had surgery, hospital called in pain meds, was promised by 3:45, we arrived was told it would be 15 min, waited and waited , I asked if we could get at least 1 pill as his meds from the hospital was wearing off, when they checked it had been ready earlier, it was now after 5 oclock, we would have been home by now as it is a 30 min drive. Pitiful service, will never use this pharmacy again.

Long lines no help staff that does not care about customers. Always miss place meds. Never less than a 20 minutes wait. PLEASE PEOPLE GO TO PRICE CHOPPER 2 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD GREAT SERVICE NO LINES NICE STAFF.

Ive had very mixed experiences at this location. Definitely great for getting a few quick items and getting out. I absolutely hated the pharmacy though.
