We chose this florist because the owner has known my daughter for several years. At first, we were happy with the attention we were given in describing what we needed, but as the date drew nearer and I tried to reach the owner of the shop to reconfirm (it had been several months since our meeting), she didnt return my calls and I began to have misgivings. The people in her shop seemed to know nothing about our order and, in fact, told us that the flowers were going to be delivered to my daughters apartment in North Plainfield vs. where the event was scheduled to take place in East Hanover. I ended up hounding the woman with phone calls until she finally returned one and told me the order was fine. Came the day of the wedding, she delivered boutonniers (sp?) labeled grandfather (there were no grandfathers, by the way), but the number was correct. What ticked me off was that I called her 3 times to let her know she didnt deliver rose petals for the flower girl - she never called me back.

Normally I dont write reviews, but I was just so pleased with Summit Hills Florist. I needed a centerpiece last min, and called up. I got Karen who is the Owner/Floral Designer? she was so nice, genuinely sweet, she knew her stuff. Im not good with flowers but I had an idea of what I wanted. Karen not only did an amazing job, she exceeded my expectations!! Even my fiance mentioned hed never seen such nice arrangement, you know guys usually just dont get that kind of stuff. We will be returning, this time for our wedding!!

I agree with the review below. The owner Karen is one of the most rude people I have ever dealt with. We used them for multiple flowers at my grandfathers funeral. I called back 2 days later to say one of the arrangements was not what we wanted. Karen instantly got defensive and was so insensitive and inappropriate that I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. Worst experience I ever had....plus the prices are ridiculous.

The people here are super nice and welcoming. The place is very nice and convenient. Ive used Karen for many, many years now. I must say I have never been unsatisfied with her work. These days, I dont even give her direction. I tell her what I want, what the occasion is, for whom its for, and let her create. When I pick it up, its always better than I could have imagined, she does quality work and a great price.

THE BEST FLOWERS IN THE AREA by far. A good family friend used them for funeral flowers and they were more than pleased. The proprietor, Karen, was knowledgeable, sympathetic to their needs and budget while providing exactly what they wanted. A no brainer, to to them for all your floral needs, from everyday, sympathy to wedding. Recommended highly!
