I came here during my visits to this locations area. I recommend that the people put in some febreeze air refresheners. I recommend this area to American girl doll fans. And also, if you plan on going on a monday, I suggest going as early as possible, because monday at unique is costumer appreciation day, which is when you get 25% off each item. Its pretty crowded at that time. The clothes are not that bad, but they are usually dirty. My personal favorite area is the homewares, toys, movie, book, and toy area. The condition of the books arent that bad. They are enjoyable. My parents enjoy the classic cds. They are very affordable. The decorations and homewares shelves have really cool things. I have also found decorations that are perfect things for American girl dolls, such as Easter baskets and wicker chairs for the dolls. My favorite section is the toy section. They have different types of 18 inch dolls, though I never saw American girls there. They also have Barbie and lalaloopsy if youre interested. If you go to any of the cash registers, you may find plush toys and key chains such as beanie babies, dream catchers, and other small things. You can also find bagged things, which are usually lots of small plastic or plush toys. They have some American girl sized plushies such as mini build a Bears. Speaking of which, they also have big plush toys like build a bears. The toys are pretty affordable as well. The most expensive toy Ive seen at unique was 10 dollars. By the way, You have a big chance of buying something worth 100 dollars for only 5 dollars. You never know what you will find.

This is one of the few second hand stores I go to on a regular basis. They have a large clothing section, but more importantly to me and my family they have quite a bit of housewares, toys, games and books as well. Sometimes you can find absolute treasures, but sometimes you find absolutely nothing. So, if youre willing to put in the time and not give in to disappointment, chance are youll find something wonderful. When we started going there, the prices were much better and you could really find some steals. Now, they have a digital system in place to help them price and tag everything. The chance for getting hundreds of dollars in Magic Cards for a few bucks (this actually happened to one of my buddies) are slim-to-none now.

Best to shop here on discount days - 25% off on Mondays, and Thursdays with free VIP card. Prices range from good, to very high for a thrift store. One note of caution about this specific Unique. There is a cop (short, with tattoos, and a buzz cut) who is sometimes there on busy days. If you are black he will follow you around the store, or try to look inconspicuous while eying you from a short distance away. Amazing thing to experience in a store filled with low-income people of all races, that this moron singles out one group.

Its sort of like an indoor garage sale.I went on freecycle and gave someone 90 albums from the 70s. I swear I saw them on sale at the So Plainfield store.Some of the items are unique.But whoever they have in charge of pricing items is a moron.I saw a 15 phone line there for $6 used and dirty, New in a dollars store $1. A suitcase used for $39 which I know goes for new at $25 in stores like national wholesale.I do like going there to shop though. You never know what treasure you might find though.

The most expensive Unique store. Even more pricey than the store in Watchung! Only come here when theres 50% off sales just to get fair prices. Wouldnt even consider the sales prices deals for a thrift shop, just convenience if you happen to find something you like in person because the prices here are WAY overpriced! These stores are using ebay to get their prices and marking items way up when everything they get are donated. Better off going elsewhere.

I love it. There is a huge variety. I dont find the prices high. After all, it is NOT a garage sale. All items are put in the right location. It is easy to find what you are looking for. The store itself is spacious. It does not have the feeling of a second hand store. All clothes are put on the racks by size. Thats why the prices are not a dollar like you find them on a garage sale. My kids love it, love it. Where else can I buy so cheap Barries?

Easy to find good kids clothes for cheap. It is packed on 50% off days. Its better to use the app and go on VIP days. The clothes are treated with chemical fabric softener and it takes several washes to remove. Is a very distinct and harsh chemical smell. There is a big machine press in the back that they use for this. It would be so much better if Unique stopped doing this. Thrift stores should be good for the environment.

The stores are huge and organized , but selection is not that great and i agree with the people who are complaining about the prices -absolutely ridiculous( for thrift stores) . However every Monday they have 25% off and if you have 2+++ Hr to waste you will find something . I am mostly looking for vintage clothing , but was able to find also newer pieces , few great brand new bags and new kids clothing .

Been going here for years. Huge selection though prices have gone up quite a bit. You can always find some great stuff, but beware of their 50% off sales...people go crazy and will dig through your cart the second your back is turned ( I know from experience)! If you like to take a few hours of browsing and finding treasures you wouldnt expect, then this is the place for you.

Thrift stores are always generally dirty and depressing places to be in, but this one especially. Very disorganized and very dirty. Nice amount of books but little to no vinyl (which was my main objective). I also dropped off boxes of books and casssettes to give away, and the staff first didnt know how, and then took their time to get me a slip for a tax write off.

This store used to have nice items with cheap prices.Now they ridiculously raise the price for most items.Some utensils that I wanted to buy a piece,now it requires to buy whole set and price is equal to brand new items with boxes available next door in shoppers world.Its similar with many items.For the same or less price you can get things next door.

I love Unique with such an obsessive passion I usual stop in almost everyday! You never know what gem youll find for great prices!!! Sign up for the app and receive special offers too if your specially like me! Only suggestion is need more employees on the floor to assist! Like I waited half hour to see a piece of jewelry. But besides that, AMAZING!!

Disappointed in the prices. When I first started going to them a few years ago- prices were great but since their popularity increased so has their prices. I noticed new items with tags will either be priced the same cost or even more than what the tag is! They think theyre slick when they rip the price off of the tags and issue their own pricing.
