Updated: 3/4/16 Sigh. I wanted to stay with the 4 stars, really I DID! BUT, 3x in a row I had ordered something online so that I could swing by (5min from my home) and pick it up. The Customer service line was seriously too long, it really made no sense (time check 2pm). Second time, I went to purchase some things and pick up something as well, I stood around waiting for 30 minutes before they brought it out to me! The email your order is ready for pickup normally means it is READY!!!! The 3rd time, customer service AGAIN! poor guy, its the same guy all the time, by himself, and no other registers open....UMMMM....Last, I called the last time due to the issues I had prior to make sure what I had ordered was actually OUT and waiting to be picked up. What a surprise, NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE all 4x I called. -------- Not sure what everyone else is experiencing, but weve successfully picked up numerous online (same day pick up) orders. We either picked up that day, or a couple days after with no issues BESIDES ONE FEMALE AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AREA. She in my opinion shouldnt work at a store involving interacting with people, let alone parents and mothers to be (just not smart) At first I came to the conclusion it was me being pregnant at the time , and a little too emotional. However, coming back on 2 separate occasions she was JUST as rude to me and to my husband. Theres a gentleman who walks around, not sure if he is management or loss prevention but always helpful. A smile goes a long way people!!! Especially when parenting or expecting. Their shelves have always had what I needed. If I couldnt find someone, asking has always done the trick! Ive experienced cashiers who are aloof and dont seem to want to be there and a wonderful girl(wish I knew her name) who was very kind and interactive with us. She did her job and even offered a cc which is apart of cashier protocol (which some cashiers just dont ask for one reason or another. ) If I was a secret shopper she wouldve gone above and beyond. Perhaps when I go there this week Ill get her name! Last, temperature is really important, I am anemic and often freezing in stores. This being a baby/childrens store I was glad it wasnt freezing! Even though it was summer, the temperature was nice and cool but not ridiculously cold!

I made an extreme efforts to remain polite and understanding here at the Secaucus toy r us, but unfortunately the store manager wasnt feeling the same today. His dismissive attitude and lack of care when the helpful sales associate called him was just rude and unacceptable. Not only did he make no sense when advising the exact opposite of the correct sales associate, he proceeded to stand in the corner doing absolutely nothing besides uncomfortably staring at me growing frustrated with him. All I wanted was simply advice that would have taken 2 minutes out of his day, but that was clearly too much for this man to handle (because his answer was brief and wrong anyway). Again, wonderful sales associate, she was very sweet and understanding. So Thank you to her..and only her. Still didnt get anything resolved but her attitude was very professional and kind.

Terrible customer service!! Ive been calling for the past 30 min to check on a stroller. The line rings endlessly until it just cuts off. Out of 7 times that I called, someone finally answered and told me to hold. After 10 min of being on hold, I had no more patience to wait for someone to pick up and help me. Last week we went to the store to test the stroller and one of the staff said they had the stroller in stock but in the box and not able to test because someone stole a test stroller!!! What the heck???!! They had the box in stock and no way to test it! And like there was no care in the world for someone to come and assist a group of people waiting to be helped at the stroller section. The worst store, I dont get how they say the strive to be the best in the world! Its a joke!

I was looking to pick up a scrap book for my baby and I saw that this location had it in stock...it was a trip for me to get to this babiesrus but I decided it was worth it (i would save almost $10 on shipping costs). I get to the store and to my surprise its not there. So i wait at the baby registry island for help for about 15 min and NOBODY helped me. So I was already aggravated and had to walk around the whole store to finally "catch up" to somebody to help me. The girl was nasty and said whatever they had out is it. I explained to her that I made sure this location had it and was told it was there and she just shrugged her shoulders and didnt care. I was so upset I left. Will never return to this store again! Even though they had more products than other stores Ive been to.

Only good thing is location. I saw a few things wrong in this store but what really tilts the bucket is the restroom maintenance. Seriously people? Its not that hard to maintain clean bathrooms. Clean bathrooms should be part of your guest shopping experience. Id understand if I were at a bar or something but these restrooms (at least the mens) are without excuse, simply disgusting. Ill try to post pictures of the dried up mucus (luggy) starring me in the face. Oh and no toilet seat in one of the stalls..... hope you have strong hamstrings!

I hate this toys r us. I bought my daughter for Xmas an easel so opened it and the whole easel was broken I took it back and they seem to not had another one for her. Another time I bought my daughter a hello kitty remote control car the car wasnt working but the controller worked, I took it back and switched it now the controller dont work but car works. Im tired of this store selling broken toys and I remember when I went there they had toys that were opened and out of their boxes. Its a shame they arent strict with their policies.

Horrible customer service.... Called for about an hr and no one picked up, then i was put on hold for another 20 min then when i finally asked for what i was looking for i was put on hold for another 30 min..... Then someone else picked up and that person was clueless and again was put on hold so i hanged up. Went to the store to be told again, " Its sold out!" Very unprofessional, and when you walk to the store everyone seems clueless and eith the excuse, "sorry its not my department" and no one else is there to help....

Trying to sell a used bassinet without all of its pieces. Asked to have them secure another one at the Totawa location. They hung up on the sales rep twice and we just left. Second bad experience with the sales staff at Secaucus. The Babies r us store doesnt stick by the products they sell. The varnish came off the crib set we bought for our first born. Their answer was there was "nothing we can do about it, call the manufacturer." Im not going back to purchase even diapers from the store.
