Costco is a place where you feel comfortable if you dont have any issue on returning or dispute. If you do, you may find that it is very hard to get simple issue resolved. I had two bad experiences with Costco. One is that I bought whole wheat bread gone moldy from Edison Costco.Even though I found moldy in couple days after I purchase, but it was too far to just return it for only $3.99. when I went back to Costco one week late, I was told that the expiration date was passed, Costco refused to return. I filed complained to BBB, Costco did return my money. The second time is the Cash back dispute. We joined Costco in 2010. We didnt know how to get our cash back. So we didnt remember if we got the cash back. I called Costco a few months ago, ask if we had claimed our cash back, Costco representatives told me Costco doesnt handle this, even could tell if I cashed or not because Costco doesnt have the data, and told me to ask American Express. I called American Express that told me that we didnt claimed any or our cash back coupons of 2011, 2012, 2013. I found 2011, 2013 cash back coupons but not 2012. Without coupon, Costco refused to pay any money. Therefore, American express agreed to refund half of 2012 cash back, told me to ask Costco for another half. I then called Costco if it could refund another half. Costco told me that we already cashed it even though they told me at least twice before from two different representatives that Costco doesnt handle the cash back dispute and doesnt have the data. Costco not only wouldnt give any refund, but said they would tell American Express to get the half refund back from us. We might have cashed coupon but we didnt remember (we even had 2011 coupon not cashed). This is why I called Costco to verify. If Costco have had told me that we cashed, we would not have asked American Express. Costco said that they didnt handle this issue and didnt have the data, however after American Express agreed to refund half of 2012 cash back, Costco suddenly had the data. It is very unreasonable. This store is OK except the unfriendly attitude of the current manager on me when I tried to verify the cash back coupon.

Wait, what? You didnt know that chocolate syrup came in 55-gallon drums? Youll feel like Gulliver in Brobdingnag as you navigate vast piles of stuff in quantities you never dreamed of. Waving you membership card at the doorman gives you entry into a special club atmosphere, like Studio 54 in the 1970s (without the sex, drugs, or Disco). But wait! They do have drugs - by prescription, in their pharmacy! Get your calories on at the indoor food court. Hey, dont sneer at Costco pizza, or were gonna fight ... Its unpretentious, a couple slices and a soda, with tax, for under $5. And they make a better pie than most of the national chains. One thing you cant get here, is drunk! This Costco conspicuously doesnt sell Adult Beverages, which means that youll have to travel to their Edison location for that $10,000, entire barrel of Jack Daniels that you wanted to get. But, you can fill up for your trip to that other Costco, at their ultra-inexpensive gas pumps. Enjoy the ride! Now, wheres the hand truck for that pallet of chocolate pudding I just bought?

The fruit Costco sold is often mixed with bad ones, couple bad apples or oranges per pack is often. I had never bothered to keep the bad ones for return for years. However, recently, I found there were 8 bad apples out of 14 in one pack. I kept 4 bad ones and went back to ask refund. The store refused to do so. They argued that 4 out of 14 was not more than 50%, so no refund. I told them that there were 8 bad ones, I just kept 4. It was 8 out 14, not 4 0ut of 14. Besides, who said that you could sell bad fruit as long as the bad ones are not more than 50%? I told them too that I had hundreds bad apples and oranges altogether, only this time it was too much, I came to ask refund. I got the refund with a warning: next time, they wont refund me if less than 50% bad ones. It is horrible experience, which made me to rethink if I should keep Costco membership.

I have found my shopping experience at Costco to be excellent for any "big box" store. Their customer service is outstanding, which keeps bringing me back over Sams Club. I find the store well organized and consistent, so I can depend on my staple items. Yes you need to watch prices as they cannot be as beneficial for large quantity purchases as you would expect. The tire center is fantastic. Purchased tires a year ago and have lifetime balance and rotation and hazard repair; great deal. With this winter weather and tire pressure deflating regularly, they were very responsive and quick to service on the spot. They have an excellent return policy.

The prices are usually fair but rarely better than yoh can get at ShopRite. My biggest grief is how they make you wait a LONG time in line to check out and then again to even exit the store with your purchase. The lines at the fuel pump, though, are unforgivable when youre PAYING a Membership fee to wait 20+ minutes to fill up. They need to spend the money to get more help! Its infuriating to know 4 cars arent doing anything as they await service at the pump.

I had an amazing experience at Dr. Lemberg s office. I dont have a membership and was able to get an appointment to get my eyes checked. After getting amazing service and at great prices I am considering buying a membership just to take advantage of their great prices on glasses and contacts. Dr. Lemberg is top notch! Highly recommend Costco optometrist.

I joined Costco as a former member of Sams Club. I find Costco to be a bit more upscale, with more of an Odd Lots feel. They have lots of items youll see one time, at fantastic savings. I find the produce is very good, and my local Costco has a separate refrigerated room for salad items. Im really enjoying my membership and plan to renew next year.

Classic Costco experience here; lots of people, items in bulk, free samples of various foods, packed parking lot. The pros outweigh the cons with respect to the previous, and make this a good place to buy in bulk. The added benefit to this location is the gas station with cheap prices (though you should expect to wait on line).

love hate relationship.. love this for their krikland brand.. hate, because they play dirty tricks to promote their products - like other famous brands in a corner, or not selling it at all.. for eg., i love Silk soy milk.. but suddenly they stopped selling it, after they introduced kirkland brand of it..
