In business everything is not only about the food but about customer service and how the experience can make a good or bad impact. My coworkers and I organized a 4th of July event. Because we have some vegetarians in our group and some in special diets, we decided to order hero sandwiches to include vegetarians and other with cold cuts. During the order, it was decided to change hero for wraps to make it more appealing to everyone. We also changed some other orders but kept our original half cold cuts and half vegetarian. There is food that is affordable but there are other that you can make at home that they charge too much. In addition, we were charge with $15.00 delivery plus tips. When I asked for a reduction on the charge, I was told by Costas that we were working in a high end place and couldnt lower the charge despite of me explaining that the order came from us not from our employer. At the end we decided to go ahead with the order because we were told the food worth it. But when we got the order we didnt get any vegetarians. I called to make them aware of the situation and all I could get as that it was "my mistake", I messed it up" and basically I was treated like I was complaining for the order only to get money back.. It doesnt matter how good is the food, the people in charge is not up to par. I will never order from them again. For me, it takes only one bad experience to ruin it all and never ordered again from places where no other but excellent service along with good food is available to us. Not being Italian or American also didnt help to the situation.

Let me start off by saying that Ive been shopping here for years now(even with my mother when i was a youngin), and the market has come a long way. Not only is it a typical grocery market, but you will find a wide variety of raw, whole foods. So you health nuts better get your running sneakers and head uptown. All of that tasty goodness is a solid foundation of appeal in my book, but pay attention. Maywood Market has the best prepared foods you can get in the area. Not only will MMP satisfy your digestive tract with my favorite, Their famous chicken breast, broccoli/tomatoes, and their sweet mashed potatoes, but your pockets too. This will usually cost me around 10 dollars and I can make two meals out of this. If your not a chicken person, dont stop reading here. There are a number of different fishes, sushi, veggie dishes, wraps, salads, you name it they make it. The only knock I do have is the size. Fairly small and tight quarters inside. Parking may also give you a reason to scream, it gets pretty busy. Would i recommend??? YOU BET!!!

This is what a designer Supermarket really is not that Whole Foods is bad but this small little store started in 1967 has grown in to some thing of a cult following... homemade food it knocks your socks off (they also catered the Christmas dinner this year... it was outstanding), a wonderful Deli counter, those wonderfully strange Cheeses you cant find anywhere else..but you want them... great baked muffins and croissants, fresh fruit and vegetables... its just an all-out super small market store..thats has the best foods.. for a little market in the town..it always has people in it..parking in the front is hard...they also have it in the back!

Maywood Market catered my holiday party on 12/19. All of the food was wonderful. Everyone especially loved the chicken rollatini and the mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat & shrimp hot appetizer. Because I have a wheat allergy, they made two of their dishes penne in vodka sauce and penne Siciliano wheat free. Both were delicious. They did a great job of setting up everything. No one left hungry. And, even with 30+ people, I had so much food leftover. Thanks Maywood Market for making my Holiday Party a great success. Happy New Year!

Excellent gourmet market. Fruits and vegetables are always of high quality. Great cheese selection. Good variety of bakery breads and rolls. Good fresh fish section and high quality meat department. What is really outstanding is their deli and hot foods to go section. I mean, like why in the world would you ever want to cook again. They got it all, and its all delicious.

Food always looks amazing, but the prepared foods never taste as good as they look. Pre-packaged foods are overpriced in comparison to same item at ShopRite. The fruits and veggies are reasonably priced. be careful of the dried fruits and nuts as i have seen expired ones on the shelf. Weekends there are always samples out so you can try new cheeses before you buy.

Everything looks delicious, but alot of the premade food does need to be reheated. However, their sandwiches are great. Their cheese selection is amazing, they give you free cheese samples, I could stay there all day. The fruits and veggies are also excellent, very fresh. The only downside is that its really cold inside.

Great selection. Some great imported things, chocolate, etc. Meat department is great, and has nice fresh prepared items like sliders, burgers, sausage. Cold cut and cheese department has interesting tastes not seen in big chains. Counter in the back with meals, soups, sandwiches is full of delicious ideas.

Incredible selection of fresh prepared foods portioned out and just a quick grab away. Dont miss the sesame noodles! Fresh produce and baked goods. Groceries can be a bit pricy, recommend sticking to the delicious prepared food offerings and heading to shop rite for every day groceries.

Good-to-delicious prepared foods, wide selection of prepared entrees.excellent selection of cheeses, salads, carries a good selection of everyday items. Decent produce, not the widest selection.Quite a few " foodie" & "natural-healthy"items. Convenient, Pricey, but not insanely so.

Shopping gem on Pleasant Avenue in Maywood. Fresh bread, salads made to order, suishi chef on premises, free cheese samples, hot fishes, soups, meat, beer, wine and just about anything you could ever need. Market Basket style with Maywood prices.

I love this market! Has the look, feel and variety of the type of upscale markets this New Yorker has seen in Manhattan -- but the prices are fantastic for most items. The prepared foods are better than comparable offerings at Whole Foods.

An incredible array of delicious food, well prepared and appetizing, presented by a very helpful staff, adds up to a fantastic, well earned reputation and a shopping experience that exceeds expectations...

Great food selection. The prepared foods are amazing. The only real negatives are that the aisles are way too small and the parking sucks. That said, the wide selection keeps me going back for more.
