This is definitely one of my go-to supermarkets. Not only do they sell an excellent selection of imported Italian products, but they have your standard supermarket staples as well. Definitely check out the online circular which is updated weekly - my only gripe is that they sometimes dont carry certain items that are listed in the Brooklyn store and I wind up disappointed because those are only available at the Staten Island location. It is a bit small and getting around can be challenging when its crowded but that doesnt stop me. They have an excellent meat department, the best fish counter around (most items are wild-caught), a deli with a prepared foods section that would rival most lunch buffet spots in the city, and a good organic section with better prices than most other retailers. All in all this is a great place to shop.

I live in middle of the USA. I am from Italy. I will say this, for Italian food look no further. Buying online is a waste unless its very unusual I guess. I live in the west it is a nightmare finding Italian food, when you do, it id almost 5x the price. Here they charge around 9.00 for Nutella, They have very little beyond that. This is the Italian NetCost. If you are from Italy, American of Italian heritage or just like Italian culture try it out. Italian soft drinks are like 12 dollars for 6 tins. No Italian cleaners here, no Italian Biscotti (not starbucks). I think you get the idea.I chave not been in LaBella since I left in 2012. Please go! Dont take it for granted like me.

This supermarket has everything. The have a great selection of imported Italian products, a great deli counter, cheeses from all over the world, a bakery with fresh breads and pies, even a fresh seafood department. Its very crowded, which, I guess is a good thing, but this makes checking out a pain, long lines and too many empty shopping carts near the check out lines, making it even more difficult to move your own cart around. It could be more improved, if they had a parking lot, but overall, its worth the trip.

Bella Markets remains one of my favorite Brooklyn shopping destinations for authentic Italian food products and ingredients. This supermarket offers fresh seafood, freshly baked pizza, bread, pies and cakes and a huge selection of prepared foods. They are famous for their mozzarella which is made on the premises. Shop here to create an authentic Italian feast.

Cold cuts fairly priced as are most foods. Nothing can take Trader Joes place but Id too far so we go couple times a month. We come here few times a month to hold us over. Produce is good. Sodas are nicely priced so we buy Seltzer weekly. The beef is fairly priced but we dont like it much. Other meats are good. No trader Joes but i like it.

Bad customer service. Last month I ordered a birthday cake and when my husband went to pick it up it was not what I ordered ( not the right size nor the right design). Although they acknowledge the mistake they did not do much to fix it. My husband asked to meet the manager they told him you cannot.

The two older cold cut guys are horrible! They give you thick salami sticks when you ask it to be cut super thin. They are lazy and do not listen. If you need to get cold cuts wait for the younger Hispanic guys to be done they actually do a great job.

This supermarket has so many specialty items it is sometimes hard to decide what to get. The air conditioning is such a blessing on hot days. They even have fresh seafood, oysters and clams. Stop in often to check out sale items.

Food is consistently fresh and prices are good. Plus with the latest Asian invasion supermarket on New Utrecht and 83rd where the old Waldbaums was, this is one of the few holdouts left to get authentic imported Italian food!

They have anything you could need, but everything has a crazy markup on pricing. Lines get crazy long and block all of the isles, making it impossible to shop.
