Wouldnt recommend going here for much. The owner is very rude and has terrible customer service. I called this place about a used xbox one and reserved it for pickup and when I got there I wasnt greeted with any type of genuine happiness it was kind of a laxidazy just give me your business and leave and thats exactly how the transaction played out. Over the phone I was told theres a 7 day return policy. Well that didnt turn out that way. I payed and it wasnt a thanks for coming or anything, just me saying thanks and a yep from the owner. On my way home I started taking a closer look at it and it had a lot of scratching on the Xbox and controller. So I tried to go back and return it because I wasnt that happy and I worked retail for 3 years so I know how to approach someone with an issue. I just stated the issue and immediately in a rude tone goes theres no returns unless its defective and says so right in front of you. My initial idea when I buy something from a place is if they have a return policy like that they should be told before the purchase is finalized but he knew what he was doing he was trying to pull one over on me and did. The entire time I was in the store he was on his cell phone and when I went to pay he just completely rushed me because he knew exactly how to pull it over. Take the money so he cant return it. Just overall terrible customer service and a shady person to deal with. Youre honestly probably better off buying used games and consoles off of craigslist because this guy is just rude and as I mentioned before. Shady.

I was looking for a Nintendo switch for a friend so called a few local stores and Powered by Games happen to have one in stock. The worker there told me he would hold it for me to pick up since I could not come right away. I went to the store to pick up the console 1.) he did not tell me it was used AND 2.) he was selling it for $369! so $70 over msrp and it was USED. I would expect this kind of thing on eBay to take advantage of the market but not from a local store when we have endless choices to buy games from within 2 miles (walmart, gamestop, etc.). It is no wonder mom and pop game store do not exist anymore. Not to mention a lot of other items in the store are overpriced. I would go else where to buy any game related item no point in supporting a local store that makes money of taking advantage of the gaming market.

Store had a great selection. Of course its a retail store so you should always expect games to sell above market value because of their overhead. However, the fact that Super Mario Bros./Duckhunt was marked at $20 was quite an absurdity to me. That game should be $7 to $10 at the very most. This was just one example of how the pricing on some games was way off. The SNES games were definately the most overpriced while the N64 prices were mostly fair or normal pricing. Not a great consistency in prices so the selection of what is justified to be purchased is 50/50. Overall an amazing location and the employees who were there were also very helpful. Id recommend the store to anyone who has not been there before based on their inventory and selection and some decent prices.

rating it 1, but it may change. there will be a follow up., i have a playstation 3. I went there to buy a controller. they had about a dozen to pick from. i asked what about the wire they come with. Clerk responded doesnt come with a wire. (false) anyway, charged me 30$ for a used controller, ps3 dual shock. the left trigger and the d-pad both spaz out constantly. I intend on exchanging one and requesting I test it first, or charge 15. obviously theyre not tested prior. i bought it a week or so ago. so Im gonna try to find another 1. *they definitely do have alot of old stuff you wouldnt expect to find. turbo grafx 16, the portable version, game gears, nes, all that old stuff. i remember getting a nes for 250$ in what 1989

If you are into classic video games them this is the place. They have some amazing game systems, controllers, toys, and games/ new and used .They carry new items and they have decent prices. I personally would rather give my money to a local store...The guys who work there are knowledgeable gamers. They also BUY games and systems/games etc... I have bought and sold many things from them over 2 years and have returned 2 things..and I was not hassled at all. All of this easliy earns them 5 stars. I have 3 children and I am a gamer myself so as long as they are open I will be a customer. FANTASTIC STORE

I went in there to sell a BUNCH of Ps2, and ps1 games including a slim ps2 plus controllers, the owner gladly took the whole box and gave me 80$ cash or 100$ in store credit, I chose the credit and got my self a Nintendo 64 and all the fixins, controller, expansion pack, ect for like 89.99, plus perfect dark. While I was in there the owner was very kind and helpful, a little quiet, but not rude or mean, he helped me, and was very patient, defiantly will return to purchase more stuff for my new Nintendo 64! Wish I could give more stars! ********** :)

An Incredible Shop That is Every Part a Throwback and Modern A good buddy and I wanted to check this place out after seeing it advertised on Facebook. My friend as able to get a JAPANESE IMPORT of Marvel vs Capcom 1 for the Dreamcast for less than $20! Not to mention the store itself, Everything is clean and very well organized, and is always moving stuff around when new and old comes in and out. Everything is reasonably priced. Not to mention you never feel rushed when you are inside.

This guy has no patience for questions , sells used consoles at retail and does not clean or test games. He gets very upset and replies to the honest reviews. I hope I wasted his time. "Youve never presented me with anything of value, theres a reason I have over 10,000 games now and will be working on store 2. I pay more then most stores, period. But if you present me with junk.you get a junk offer." Where is store 2? LOL

Great place for any gamer. The owner is very informative and down to earth. The last time I was in they had a buy 2 get one free sale for games on certain systems, but the owner was very accommodating and allowed me to get the offer on games that werent part of the promo. Prices range from fair to great compared to other retro stores Ive been too. I definitely wouldnt say anything is way overpriced.

I dont know about all these other people but this place is amazing. When I walked in the first time it was like my child hood right in front of me, the owner is cool has great knowledge of all the items in his store, some of them are bit pricey but alot of the things he has you arent going to find. Overall I will continue to stop in to find some old games I enjoyed as a kid.
