1st of all, Im not criticizing all Sears stores in general. However, I wont patronize the Sears in Hackensack again even though I live within the same City. My 1st problem began when I called the Auto during the free tire rotation to check on the status, which afterwards the associate gave me a hard time why I called when they were busy. Soon after the tire rotation I found out that one of the wheel lock was missing and I ended up having to order another one and going through lengthy process of getting reimbursement. Another problem, which just happened today, began when I was using a $5 off coupon they gave me at the Auto Center and it stated that the coupon can be used for merchandise in ALL Sears stores. However, the cashier, after claiming that the coupon expired (it had a week to go), called for a manager and she flatly not accepted the coupon because she claims its only for the Auto Center. For measly 5 bucks its not worth the hassle. But the bottom line is, Ill be purposely going to the one in Paramus because if they do this to other customers, Hackensack will be losing this so-called Department store very soon. No sympathies for them!!!

I bought a service contract from this crappy place when I bought my snow blower. I was explicitly told that the yearly maintenance would be included in the contract and that a tech would come out before the season to make sure the machine was working properly. This was a lie. Upon calling this year to schedule maintenance the sears home services rep said this is not included and that I would have to pay for that separately. There are also so many exclusions and exemptions that the contract itself is nearly worthless. So whats the lesson here? Buy anything larger than a set of tools from either home depot or lowes (they are far more professional organizations). And if you have to buy something from sears absolutely skip the sears protection plan - its a waste of money.

At the end of my long day here at Sears, I am happy to say the manager did the correct thing and tried to make the best of the situation by giving me a very large discount. However, an oil change and a tire rotation took very close to 3 hours for me. And yes, those two things were all that needed to be done! They "forgot" about my vehicle until I reminded them that it was an hour past my 40-45 minute promised time. By the time they finished, it was near 3 hours. That is unacceptable in my book. Thank you to the manager for making good in the end however this is just not the right way to do business if you are an auto place. The issue is that they are understaffed and have lazy workers who do nothing, and leave all the hard work to one poor guy, the entire time.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. Got an Alignment which they didnt make the correct adjustments in the rear and told me to come back and they will fix the issue. Made an appointment for 9am got there and they gave me an out the door time of 11am. 11am comes along and my cars still sitting outside. I asked them for an update and they gave me another time of 12:30 plus however long it would take to do the alignment. I dont know the point of having an appointment system if they dont honor it. At the end of the day I spent about 6/7 hours to get an alignment done correctly. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

When attempting to return an item to the Sears electronics department, I was greeted with accusations and indifference. The employee insisted that I had opened the item, when I did not do so. He was trying to discourage me from returning the item, since it would look negatively on the stores records. He grilled me on why I was returning the item like I was a criminal. This is a warning to any and all shoppers - do not come here for anything. It is not worth the trouble in the long run.

Since, December of 2015; Ive purchased a stackable Washer and Dryer, Refrigerator, Range, and Microwave from Sears. On June 17, I went to return a fitness tracker that didnt work; I misplaced the receipt and found it that day. Since, the purchase was 38 days ago, I couldnt return the item. NO STORE CREDIT NOTHING. At that point I was tempted to return my appliances that were being delivered on June 20, but decided instead to never make another purchase at Sears.

None of the employees knew how to retrieve a shirt that hanging up high. That meant waiting for over fifteen minutes. At check out, i questioned the price of two vests i wanted to purchase. The manger would not listen to me at all. Nor did she go back and check the prices. I spent close to twent dollars more, because she wouldnt check the price. I am totally disatified and will not be coming back, nor will any of my friends or relatives.

Took my car for a stalling issue. They couldnt find out the problemm, just reset the check engine light and charged my $108. Please have some one who knows what they are doing. Just a waste of my money. Took my car to a local garage and found out that the solenoid was bad and got it replaced. Waste of your money and time, and also you end up calling them many times to find out what the issue is with the car (too frustrating)

I suppose you cant please everyone. The store is smaller but packed with the items your looking for. I got glasses here, bought tool, clothes, and they have a place outside the makes keys for you. It has 3 floors so it can be frustrating, I dont like bad mouthing a store cause they didnt have exactly what I wanted.

Who would have thought that a company the size of Sears would need to resort to putting fliers under your windshield wipers while you work? On a rainy day. Thats no way to endear yourselves to potential customers. Not cool Sears, not cool.

It was wonderful my visit to Sears Hackensack for electric Dryer. It took only minutes finding models till checking out & schedule delivery.... Sales step was excellent in arranging all steps w/options and available discount etc.

Called and asked for appointment. They said " Just walk-in you dont need appointment." I just arrived and they told me you need to wait 3 hours. Dont trust this emplooyees. Get an appointment.

Sears has most of the same brands as other large retailers but the prices are better at Sears. The store is well stocked and maintained. And the employees are extremely helpful and friendly.

Old time store. Downtown but with a big parking lot. Not in a mall. Never too crowded. They recently merged the separate appliance store into the main store.
