I happened to be a Shop Rite consumer for many years. One winter day in 2013 I had gone holiday grocery shopping after bringing my husband home from renal dialysis and put him to bed. The story begins when I arrived at Shop Rite and parked my vehicle on the right side of the front doors of Shop Rite about six or seven car stalls down. I was walking when an SUV turned left and proceeded to drive towards me. As I saw the vehicle approaching, I threw my arms up in the air and yelled for the vehicles driver to stop her SUV. I begged her to stop. But, instead of turning the tires in the opposite direction, she turned her tires straight toward me. I flew back a few feet. I could not move. Since then I had four surgeries with one more to come in January, 2016. I had witnesses who had seen what happened. The witnesses confirmed that the driver of the SUV was guilty of driving too fast and hitting me. My very big concern is that the owner of Mid State Mall in East Brunswick has their counsel blaming me for this accident. The owner of the Mall should update the parking situation with yield signs, speed limit signs. More walk isles should be added. The only thing he did was add speed bumps the last two months. IS THE OWNER WAITING FOR AN ACTUAL DEATH TO OCCUR TO MAKE HIM REALIZE HOW DANGEROUS HIS PARKING LOT IS. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A WAY FOR HIM TO TAKE ON HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE CONSUMERS THAT DO SHOP AT MID STATE MALL ARE SAFE. PLEASE, LETS NOT WAIT FOR A DEATH. THERE HAVE BEEN OVER 300 ACCIDENTS THAT OCCURRED WITHIN YEARS 2012, 2013 AND 2014. HE IS GUILTY OF NEGLIGENCE. MID STATE MALL OWNERSHIP IS GUILTY OF a NON-SAFE ENTRANCE TO ALL THE STORES IN MID STATE MALL. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS SITUATION. SIGNED HOPEFUL.

Very busy, incredible selection, bar none, excellent sale prices, quality produce (including organic items), deli, sushi, Chinese food, huge prepared-food self-service bars, bakery (with Italian marble display counter), in-store Dunkin Donuts, plus an extensive kosher section with an in-house butcher, deli, and fish counters. Most everyone, for miles around, seems to shop at this Shop Rite, and frequently. Parking lot is accordingly busy, with cars idling to snag prime parking. The parking lot alignment has not kept up with the tremendous popularity of this facility, and the roadway directly in front of the entrance should probably be blocked to facilitate pedestrian traffic and provide room for a broad sidewalk connecting the parking area to an enlarged main entrance. At peak hours, aisles are congested. Gridlock is not uncommon. Prices, especially sale prices, are competitive with membership-based warehouse clubs, often better. Desirable merchandise, unusual for a supermarket, e.g., mens dress shirts or 50" TVs, at decent prices, are piled near the registers depending on what the buyers were able to source. In the late summer, abundant crates of school supplies appear at rock-bottom prices. At Thanksgiving, those with $400 of purchases over the requisite period get a free turkey, (or a substantial discount on a more expensive kosher turkey). In winter, one may fill ones pantry with quality canned goods for exceptional prices from Shop-Rites "can-can" event. Customer service is excellent, never having failed to provide me a constructive and helpful response.

Store pricing good and tons of stuff on sale. If you have a restricted diet like Gluten Free this is not the store for you. All products are mixed in with regular food item so you have to know what the product is and that they stock it. Gluten free food is premium priced and having to hunt for items is not worth the time, especially since other ShopRite store, like the Spotswood store, have fantastic Gluten Free segregated sections making shopping quicker and new products easier to find. If Im forced to pay premium pricing for Gluten Free then I refuse to go in a scavenger hunt for my food. This is not your store if Gluten Free due to Celiac Disease or youre Gluten Intolerant.

Its a HUGE ShopRite, with which comes huge numbers of shoppers and the resulting controlled chaos, especially in evenings and on weekends. This location also offers a Dunkin Donuts, a bank, a pharmacy, and a tiny florist. They have a good selection of ethnic foods, which rotate by time of year and seasonality. They tie sales and promotions to customer loyally cards, so theyre essential to getting good values.

I have been to 2 shop rites near by. But this one is the best overall. The ones in rt 9 both directions are old dark small buildings. Its sucks. This store is always clean, organized, its bright and huge. I have been there at every time of the day. In the weekends it gets crazy but I suggest going very early or very late any day. Best one.

Best shoprite Ive been to. Very good prices and selection, and has a bakery, Chinese restaurant, Dunkin donuts, and optical store inside. They often have produce bundled for quick sale at great prices, which is a huge draw for me. Only complaint is they dont carry daiya products as far as I can tell.

This is one of the bigger ShopRite supermarket, and it says World Class - the food quality is not world class at all, its just a bigger place and have more selections. There is nothing fancy and gourmet stuff here, so Im disappointed for the fact it says "World Class"

Great ShopRite, but SO BUSY Maybe it is a good thing that they are so busy, but it is a zoo just about anytime you plan on going. Not the greatest looking store, but prices are great, and it is as clean as could be for being so busy.

I love the Kosher experience at this Shoprite. I can always find parking, self checkout is a big plus and the produce is usually very good and well stocked. I always have a positive experience with the cashiers.

Anyways can find a great deal at ShopRite with coupons. Also, of the other ShopRites in the area I beleive this one is the cleanest. Has a dunkin donuts inside. The layout can get confusing.

Its not too bad. The items are placed a little weird and the consumers are rude, but the employees are lovely and willing to help if asked nicely. Expect it to be packed on the weekends.

The sales are great. They have food I use that other stores dont. Theyre the most inexpensive compared to other supermarkets. You can find almost any nationality of foods there also.

Theres a little of Everything in this shoprite.. great bakery and desserts. Deli is always fresh and employees are friendly. Only problem is the parking. Larger lot is needed..

This is a true "World Class" ShopRite which serves basic food items for all cultures and religions. Their Halal options are not many, but they are abundant in Kosher items.
