My sister bragged about this place and the doctor. I went because my BCBS had them listed with a 25% discount off their services. The exam + contact fitting was promoted as $99 total. They charged me $150. Where the sale or the 25% discount was, I have no idea. I asked the doctor for my normal contacts-- I wore the same brand/strength/size for over 14 yrs. He told me he did not sell those (he still could have written me a script to get them elsewhere). he then told me that Focus Day & Night were the best. I have a slight astigmatism, and have NEVER worn contacts for it. He ordered me FD&N, and quoted me $350 -- my old contacts were $88 per year! He bragged so much about the new technology, I thought I would try them. When I went to pick up my lenses, it was $350 for SIX MONTHS! I left and got another exam at Lenscrafters in the mall. Stay far away.

I have been going to Sterling Optical for over twenty years. Dr. Spivack and his staff have always provided excellent care for all my eye health needs. Every time I go in for a check up Dr. Spivack takes the time to find what will work best for me. A few years ago I wasnt wearing contacts much anymore because they felt so dry on my eyes after only a few hours. Dr. Spivack suggested I try the dailies one day brand and I have been using them ever since. Being a health conscious person, it has always been important to me to feel comfortable when going to any medical professional. Dr. Spivack and his staff have always made me fell comfortable to ask any questions and voice any concerns I had about my health. I will be going to Dr. Spivack for another twenty years.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!!!!! I went here because I felt my Rx had changed. The Optician said nothing was wrong and "everything looked great". I paid for my appt. Then a few days later I went to a Ophthalmologist ( a REAL eye doctor) and I had some serious problems going on in my eye that the Optician did not diagnose at all at Sterling. Thank God I got a 2nd opinion because I could have gone blind. I had to refrain from wearing my contact lenses for 6 months and was on 3 different medications (eye drops) to help the inflammation and help resolve the scar tissue that was on my retina. Honestly, GO somewhere else.

I lost my glasses, been call and calling for 2 weeks straight waiting for my new pair. They come in yesterday , I needed to get a ride, I finally get one : Google said they closed at 6 pm , I live almost exactly 10 minutes , I called said I hate to be a pain but my migraines have been killing me and I really need my glasses ( I called 5:45) I told her I got a ride but wont make them drive if they cannot wait an extra minute or so she said no problem theyll stay a few minutes after 6. I get there but 5:57 closed . Im very upset.

We enjoy coming to Sterling Optical. Dr. Spevack is very personable and does a great job! Christine was very helpful with information regarding glasses, insurance, and everything else we asked her about! which was a lot! My husband and I have men coming here for years and have always been very satisfied!
