I have never seen a pet store which cares as little for their pets as this pet store! I was in this store on 8/16/08 and they had a sick bird that was obviously dying. The bird was missing a large amount of his feathers, probably from other birds picking them out. He couldnt even stand on his own and they had him in a cage where his feet just slid through the grate in the bottom of the cage which made it even harder for him to stand up. The bird also could not get to his food or water which was too high for him since he couldnt jump or fly anymore. We confronted employees of the store and their response was that they didnt pay much for the birds, so getting vet treatment wasnt worth it. So yes, they basically said that they follow a strict money line and dont assist any of their animals with medical care even if the animals life depends on the care. I wanted to buy all of the birds just so that they would not have any more to neglect, but I couldnt because I was traveling far from home. They should not sell animals if they do not want to pay for their basic medical care. I suggest NEVER going to this store!!!

This store is horrible. They dont care about any of the pets there. Ive been thinking about getting fish for awhile and saw their pet store while heading somewhere. I quickly spun around and went in. I was sorry I did. I know Russian Hamsters are mean, but there was one guy in the cage beating up the others. At least two of them had bloody heads. One had a bloody nose. The bloody nose guy hid. The other guy with a bloody head, however, was just chillin out in the corner and the bully started attacking him. He had several bloody gashes in his head. Employees seemed to care less and Ill never shop there. Im in the market for a big fish tank, but not from these people. Theres also a "Precious Pets" in Hightstown, NJ. I wouldnt be surprised if theyre owned by the same people. The interior of the two kind of looks the same. Boring, dirty, and the same smell. I know, I know pet shops are supposed to smell. To a certain degree, Id agree with you.

It would get this place with 3.5 stars if I could. This place is everything you would expect from your neighborhood pet store. They dont have a big selection but have the necessities. Did not check the prices on the products yet but the fish I bought was 2 times more than at PetSmart. The person that helped me I believe his name was Connor was super helpful spend a lot of time explaining things to me and talking to me... Especially with my rowdy son. Just for that fact I will make this place my new pet store. By the way I read some comments about this place really smelling it just smells like somebodys house who has animals but keep them clean kind of that wood chips smell. (Its a pet store people! Lol)

Ive been dealing with precious pet in Burlington route #130 for over 15 years now. Buying fish for my 90 gallon fish tank and cat food for my cat. When you have a small pet store youre going to have a smell, Its to be expected. There has been many employees who came and gone but most were pleasant. so if anyone have any problems or complaints about this particular store rest to shore that Its not always that way. If theres something in the store that youre interested in and they dont have it they will find It. They been around for a long time for a reason.

I have been going to Precious Pets for years for cat, gecko and turtle supplies. I have never had a bad experience with the staff or owner or have ever had any issue with any of the products. Additionally, I adopted 2 of my cats from them and they were well cared for and have been wonderful companions. Its a privately owned business, so if you want Petsmart corporate pet plaza, go there, I choose to support local businesses whenever possible.

Bought a parakeet from here last Friday (7/22/17) and woke up this morning (7/30/17) to find it dead. It wasnt neglected by me being as I bought one from PetSmart 3 maybe 4 months ago and it is still living. The one I bought from here was less than 4 months old and was slightly malnourished. Will never buy pets from here again.

This place is the worse. Bought fish on Sunday 3/13/16. As of today, most are dead. No wonder they were 50% off. We were told we could return any dead fish up to two weeks by the employee that day. Now the owner, Christine says she will only replace fish within 24 hours. Wow! Really?

I only go here if I really have to. The staff is very rude and has accused me of stealing in the past. They give lots of customers dirty looks and breath down their necks. I dont recommend going here for anything. There are lots of better pet stores to go to.

You people obviously dont know how hard it must be to run a pet store, its family owned so its not going to be perfect, and its better then Petsmart and Petco, and its actually cheaper then them.....

Wet floors, strong smell of rodents and sparse shelves except for the dust. I dont think the animals are well cared for here. The whole store looks like its been let go for ten years. Its a mess.

Unhelpful and often rude staff. Very limited supplies. Store seems dirty, run down and had a bad smell. I avoid going here.
