Quality of food is good for some products. However, there have been a few times where Id be hand-picking green beans and would find mold growing on some of the green beans. Dont get the bean sprouts here; Ive bought better and fresher bean sprouts (among other produce) from HMart in Edison or the city. The asian aisle obviously is nothing compared to HMart, or PhilAm, but its kinda ok when I cant drive out to Edison or the city. For the price of asian products and some of the seafood, youre better off going to HMart. And if you want a bit of "exotic" meat (e.g. pork belly) they dont sell it here. As someone who used to work in customer service, the customer service is a bit lacking. No one smiles, and people look unapproachable; maybe its because I go in the early morning and people havent woken up enough to deal with human interaction. Ive been to the customer service desk, and I had an interaction with one woman where I felt like she thought I was lying, and she just couldnt be bothered with. I immediately regretted going to her, and felt like my refund wasnt even worth dealing with her. I shouldve just walked away when I got resistance. I stopped getting prescriptions done at the pharmacy. On more than one occasion, Ive waited at least 10min with no else in line, and no one bothered to help me. Not even a "Well be right with you in a few minutes". A few times the people behind the counter would glance in my direction and pretend to not see me. One one occasion I waited 15min, and they helped someone else who just showed up in line. Theyve also switched out my medication with something comparable without telling me. When this happened, I asked one woman why it was different, and she thought I was crazy (as If I didnt know what my own medication looks like -rolls eyes-). I had one cashier who noticed I got some asian-y snack. She told me how her grandson enjoys asian snacks because his GF eats them. But she mentioned how weird it was because they werent asian, and how the food is just weird. i grew up on asian food, so I was a little peeved to hear someone think that asian food is weird and that her grandson was weird for expanding his tastes. Seriously? Ive only been in NJ for a little over a year after moving from MD, and was initially excited to find a Wegmans. Clearly, the majority have had great experiences here, but not me.

The produce is HORRIBLE! I purchased oranges in the Bridgewater Store and the were green. I have also noticed hey intentionally leave the unit price stickers off of the Bags of Romaine lettuce to get you to purchase the more profitable bagged salad mixtures. The rest of the produce is small and tiny, unless you want to buy the expensive produce which will run you a pretty penny. The produce at shop rite is of much higher quality. I also can not stand the wait times at the register during peak hours. The store is filthy I always have to dust off the cans when I get home. I have watched the deli clerks do some disgusting things, which i would rather not comment. I have seen the store go down hill, now they are concentrating on selling their profitable prepped foods. I have watched Wegmans go from a store of value to a greedy corporate profit schemer! I have found the best value is the Shop Rite in Branchburg, NJ. Great produce and great meat and much better bargains. I cant wait for the Whole Foods to ope in Bridgewater N.J. soon. For you or you and your family right now Shop Rite is the best value.I will lastly mention the prepared foods the quality dramatically reduced the quality of their pulled pork. I asked the clerk and he mentioned we switched vendors. I was shocked to learn they reheat their dinners. STAY AWAY go to Shop Rite or a local produce or meat center, you are not getting the quality they pretend to advertise!!! For simple shopping value with quality Shop Rite!! Until Whole Foods moves inn.

I have been coming to Wegmans for the last 13 years, and I cant believe how it has changed dramatically. They have had tons of assortments for lunch that they have canceled out this past year. The bathrooms are filthy, there are sinks and toilets that have been "out of order" the last three weeks, the price of food has increased while the choice for food decreased let alone the quality of the food has extremely decreased! I cannot believe how a place I have recommend and loved so much has gone down hill! I see there is no more bakers, everything is frozen, they have down sized in their Chinese buffet, their salad was brown and their fruit bar had the after taste of chemicals and when my fiancé got sushi, there was a HAIR IN IT! I wish they would get new managements. When Mr. Wegmans was alive, he ran the place how it was supposed to be ran. The quality has changed so much in their baked bread department, they need to stop trading convenience for quality.

Wegmans, Wegmans, how I love thee Wegmans. If there were a greater grocery store in the world, I ask God to show me, because until that day Wegmans fulfills my needs. We actually drive out here from New York City to shop, we love it that much. Everything about this store oozes quality: their selection is incredible, the meats are fantastic cuts, their "store brand" items are better in my mind than some of their brand-name competitors...what else can I say? The liquor section (annoyingly having to follow the bizarre New Jersey liquor sale rules) has an amazing craft beer selection (including a make-your-own-sixer section with equally amazing options), and is the only store Ive been to in a decade that has Johnnie Walker Swing in stock. Its not that its a good whiskey, its just that they actually stock it! Wegmans, you hold a special place in my heart. Keep being so amazing.

In general, we love this place. They are very friendly to customers and have good prices. They have lots of fruits and vegetables selections but not necessary fresh or tasty though. Today the corns even have caterpillars on them. We told a worker near by, he told us to just throw them in garbage. He said flying bugs would fly over if people opened them on tops. But, those corns were not peeled and caterpillars dont fly. Later on, a banana worker kept dropping every banana few inches height from air when he took them out from a box and placed them down on shelf. His eyes were NOT on bananas or shelf but looking around the stores. His mind definely is not on his job. He didnt look friendly either. I needed to patiently wait for him to put down those bananas. His big cart was in the way.

This store occasionally has good prices, we usually do better elsewhere. In addition the check out lines are set up to go as slow as possible. They wont even let you bag your own groceries, which adds time on in the store and at home. On a few occasions I spent 20 minutes+ (not exaggerating) in the check out line for one item. When we first moved to the area we came here a lot, but, after dealing with the EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE, high prices, and items constantly out of stock we started going to shop-rite. The last time we shopped there they were out of 3 of the six items we stopped for, we just left out cart in the isle and went to another store.
