I went to Market Basket on a 90 degree day . I had bought some ice cream and a few other frozen foods . At checkout I asked a young man Brandon to wrap up my ice cream twice because I had one more stop on the way home . Well Mr. Brandon wrapped my ice cream in the small white bags then wrapped the rest of my frozen foods the same way . He put them all in one thick paper bag then another paper bag . The extra care he showed was astounding . Hes a teenager so I thought hell just throw it in a bag . Lol But he didnt !! I made my stop which took longer than I thought but wouldnt you know everything was still frozen and safe !! That young man is going to go places in life !! Am calling Market Basket this afternoon to give this young man a pat on the back ! When someone does something well you should always notice and say Thank you it can make a Hugh difference in the attitudes and workmanship ! Especially if their just starting to work ! Praise them !!!

Today I shopped at the Tilton Market Basket. Normally I have a good experience but this time was not good. My concern was with the person bagging. We always bring our own bags, large hard sided Hannaford bags. Today we had only one bag and enough groceries to fit in it. The bagger, on her name tag was Carolyn 6yrs, was apparently totally untrained on how to bag groceries. She was actually throwing our groceries in the bag! She also started putting items in the cart without being bagged. My wife retrieved the items from the cart and tried to put them in the bag, which irritated Carolyn 6yrs. She started shaking her head and continued to throw our groceries into the bag. Im glad we didnt have any eggs! Ill avoid her next time.

They have by far the best selection of ethnic foods and ingredients in the area and the prices are great. The new Asian produce section, in particular, has rarely-found fresh ingredients like fresh curry leaves, fresh galangal, and Thai eggplant. Other things Ive found that are not easily obtained in the lakes region include: rambutan, daikon, tomatillos, obscure japanese mushrooms like beech mushrooms, dried ghost chilis, and a good selection of fresh and dried chilis. The negatives of shopping at Market Basket in general like narrow and clogged aisles, a smelly seafood section, and an overly busy deli scarcely add up to just less than half a star, so I say 5 of 5.

Customer service was horrible! Stood at the bakery counter waiting and rang the bell 3x then I went to the next counter and the 2 employees were carrying on a conversation that apparently was more important than helping their only customer. I decided to go to the service desk only to be told I had to walk to another area to speak with the manager on duty. He proceeded to pick up his walkie talkie and call someone else. He then told me I could go back to the bakery counter and the employee would be there shortly. I got back to the bakery only to have to wait in line to get helped! Extremely disappointed in the terrible customer service, wont be back again.

I live in Williamsburg, Va and come all the way to your Tilton store for the best deals, great prices, excellent selection and helpful, friendly associates for all my needs in a super market. The menu on the website needs to be removed. Every time I request something from this menu the employees at this market basket with their combined intellectual capacity of a worm cant figure out how to make what Ive requested. Instead of asking what is it or what is in it, they decide to make something random that isnt even close to what I wanted. These people are f****** morons. Sloppy subs, stale bread, and disappointment.

I tried to get a $100 for 5 $20. I was told they can not do that any longer. I was told it was due to quick change artists. What the hell is that? I just need a hundred dollar bill. Is it rwwally that complicated? Dont they have markers to test the currency with? I thought this was one of the services customer service provided. Very disappointed they could not handle such a simple transaction.

Honestly my favorite grocery store. Market Basket is usually the best for price. I like this location because it usually isnt as overwhelmingly crowded as other grocery stores. The aisles are wide enough and things are pretty easy to find. Also, when it is time to check out there is never a lack of open registers, which is something i see a lot at other stores.

Out of all the Market Basket in New England this ones a little bit smaller little bit slower less packed all the people go to Walmart cuz theyre in the same parking lot but Ill tell you what for the price its cheaper to go to Market Basket Im surprised more people dont go great Seafood cooking for free how can you go wrong its a no-brainer

If you havent been yet, definitely check it out. Its a clean store that is always well stocked. and unlike other stores when its busy they open up all 14 checkouts. If you have big orders they will help you carry it out to your car and one time they even unloaded it! also they are cheap!!!!!

Low prices for good food, but the place is usually very crowded, the meats are so-so and the seafood section smells much worse than local competitors. Staff is extremely dedicated. I usually try to avoid going here because of overcrowding combined with narrowish aisles.

Is there any way to add a sixth or seventh star? Great customer service, products with great quality, wonderful treatment OF employees (unlike Wal-mart), and wonderful treatment FROM employees (also unlike Wal-Mart). Just keep doing what youre doing.

Good selection but overcrowded, people are extremely thoughtless and rude and park in the middle of the isles which are already to small and it feels like a zoo sometimes. We need horns for the shopping carts as well as turn signals.

I Love Market Basket because their employees are extremely helpful. They dont necessarily wait for you to ask, they offer help. They are conscientious of their appearance. Thats important to me when Im purchasing good.

Just of my negative experience was because our cashier and bagger were gossiping about co-workers right in front of us. It was uncomfortable. But also the experience just wasnt very pleasing in general.

Longest wait ever for at this location for sandwiches, only to get cold food. Terrible customer service skills in the hot food/sandwich dept. Crazy. This used to be the best place for sandwiches :(
