I have a 10-yr-old Dell PC that’s still my sole & main PC, I also built no less than 10 websites on it, run Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other intense programs with it – all thanks to Apex Computer not because they sold me the Dell originally, but because they listened to my request and worked with me to extend this ancient Dell lifespan to as long as possible instead of writing it off and up-selling me a new unit once every 3 years. They first installed a kickass graphic card that outputs in DVI-D (from VGA) to 2560x1600 resolution, then added an overdrive chip to the Dell’s original chip, then more RAM, etc. For an environmentalist like myself, having a PC that lasts this long is very appealing. But ancient AC power still sucks power like a hog so I just got a new Lenovo laptop from them. Over the years, they also helped me and my friends / neighbors / girlfriends fix their devices at more than fair prices. Their service is always superb and as great as it can be coming from a small ma-n-pa shop. They may not have a lot on display but they can order for you anything that is available out there. This is both good and bad. Bad for impulse buyers and impatient beings. Good for people who likes to plan everything ahead and won’t settle for whatever’s in stock. If you want a kickass, world-class, top-of-the-line, one-of-a-kind system, this is the place to go to.

I went to every computer store in the Nashua area and this place had the best knowledge, the best attitude and is the best to work with. I needed a new computer several years ago and told him up front I was knowledgable, picky and had a certain budget (~$2500). He was very responsive, from our first meeting in his store to the over 20 emails later to narrow the search to an equipment and price point I would be happy with. Did this twice over a couple years until unemployment hit. Currently I am still using the latest computer 5 years later! The power supply just died but this is my main computer (I have a dozen lesser computers) that I have kept on 24/7 for the last 3 years! Since I do SETI searching (read as the overclocked CPU is at 100% load constantly) and have added two more HDDs and a DVD-RAM drive plus replaced the SLI dual GPU with a faster single GPU, it just keeps working. Recently bought a less powerful (read as cheaper) computer for my father there with the same great results. I always deal with the Asian guy (owner) as the other guy should stay in the lab, hes not a people person.

The guy who runs this place is both rude and clueless. I tried to ask some basic questions about a processor (I needed an older one with 65nm tech). He was clueless as to what manufacturing tech was, then became rude and flippant like a kid when I tried to explain what it was, and why I needed a 65nm and not a 45nm. I called back a month later to finally buy the processor and he did the same thing on the phone. When I asked if I could look at his computer screen to see the stats of the processor (it was OEM-- no box, just the processor itself), he again got rude. I bought the thing and got the hell out of there. Hopefully it fits my motherboard. If anyone else had one I would have gone someplace else instead, but, with a motherboard as old as mine, I was stuck going to the only place that had an old one lying around. If another place has your part, just go there instead.

I have been dealing with Apex for over 15 years, I am an IT professional and Apex has ALWAYS taken care of me. They will build a custom machine for you or order you one of your choice. The fact you can buy a machine from a local company is great just for the pure fact you can hop in the car and take to them to be fixed on the spot. Just think how long you wait have to wait for service from another mfg. You call talk to India for 2 hours then they might send a tech if you paid for it. Why go though all of that when you can buy local and help keep a small business going. They can sell you anything from a custom desktop to any part in between. Give them a try !, When you go there ask for Wicky and tell him Brian sent you.

Took my sons laptop in for repair, estimate given ($180) was lower than what another local shop wanted (at least $200, maybe more according to guy behind counter).. Laptop was ready to go the next day and is now in perfect condition. Total price at pick up: $144. Thank you Apex!!
