I agree 100% with Lynn. The staff at this shop are EXTREMELY RUDE! I entered the shop near closing time, 5:30ish, and had the AUDACITY to bring my dog along for the ride so I could take him into Petco afterwards and knowing that he likes to go for rides in the car as well. Im in the shop no longer than it took me to pick up a vegetarian magazine and a box of Quinoa when this mean, ugly old woman from the back comes out asking me if its my dog in the car and LECTURING me on how fast the heat can rise! She told me she had been outback and seen the dog in the car for 10 minutes, which is hard to believe since I hadnt even been in the store that long. I politely informed her that I parked in the shade (directly under a tree, ie NO sun), the window was cracked, and I had a fully functioning A/C in the car. She told me that if I wasnt gone in 5 minutes she was going to call the cops! Now Im sure this rocket scientist had read the wmur article about the dogs left in the car mid day in the sun for over an hour who were panting and lethargic when rescued, but I dont need to be threatened by some uneducated oaf whose only qualification is to sit behind the cafe register and make me a sandwich if I want one, which is what she should have been doing in the 1st place rather than on break in the back parking lot looking to cause trouble. Infuriated I put my items down without purchasing anything, left the store and drove off with my dog, who, obviously, was perfectly fine, not doing so much as a single pant since the air temperature in the conditioned car was about all of 70 degrees. Im a vegetarian, IQ of over 130 and an RN, and dont need to be wrongfully accused or threatened by some no-nothing hypocrite who acts as though shes some champion for animal rights & who no doubt went home after to have herself a big fattening chicken or beef dinner. Needless to say this stupid b!tch just lost yet another customer today, and if the staff here keeps treating their customers in this manner they will be lucky if the business itself isnt lost soon and they find themselves out of a job. And what Lynn has to say about your overpricing is 100% true and obvious too. I can buy the same exact marked up items sold in this store at Hannafords for much less, so why should I or anyone else pay more in your store if this is how you treat your paying customers?

I used to be a regular customer here in the cafe until I was recently accused by the owner of stealing! She walked over to me and said I saw you put something in your pocket and I have you on video. I emptied all my pockets twice to make sure it was clear that I did not take anything and then they kept apologizing but it was too late. The cashier accused me once before this also......I bought a large soup and poured some into a smaller container for my 4 year old. Then I used one of their coffee cups and put some water from my car in it. The cashier came up to me and told me that I took an extra soup and a coffee........I explained what I did. All set with this over-priced place...........never will I step foot in there again!!

This is a very nice family owned store with many great staff. There can occasionally be a few rude comments from staff but this seems to be improving both from those with attitudes and in the departure of some unpleasant staff. The spices are great and a huge savings over the grocery store! The cafe - has good healthy food The review from the nurse with "130 IQ" obviously speaks a lot more about the writer than it does about the store. Thanks for providing great healthy nutrition to our community.

The women who work here come off as elitist and are often unhelpful. I always feel as if Im being talked down to when I have a question or need help. Common grocery items are significantly marked up, expect to pay 2-3$ over grocery store price for the same exact brand. Stores like this perpetuate the "its expensive to eat healthy" mentality. Otherwise, they have a good selection of bulk items and hard to find natural products. Its for this reason I will reluctantly continue to shop here...

I too honestly didnt feel all that welcome going into the store. I dont like being followed around when I shop, and the owner was pretty ageist and assumed I was a young shoplifter. I can understand being cautious, because I used to work in retail, but I was taught that you dont straight up follow around someone like a damn hawk.

Service was great but prices for some things are very high. I picked up a couple things for someone else and later looked online to see prices and they were less than half what it was here. I get prices being a little higher but within limits.

I agree with one of the other reviewers in terms of how the staff treats customers, and the prices. I only come here because there are not many health food stores that offer some of the things that I need in the area.

Dont go when a thin, brown haired, older woman asks if she can help you. She really doesnt! Otherwise everyone and I mean EVERYONE there is very helpful and wants you to leave informed and with the right product.

Great selection of groceries, Organic produce, and bulk items. The staff was very helpful finding my items I needed. Could spend hours there exploring all the different products they carry.

I love going here with my children the staff makes us feel like family. They usually have what I need and are willing to order it if they can. The sweet potato soup is my favorite ~☆☆☆☆☆

Probably the best natural foods store in the area. Wide selection of natural and organic foods. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Love how they have kombucha on tap.

One of our favorite health food stores weve found in Seacoast New Hampshire. Their restaurant/juicery also is a wonderful pitstop.
