The ideal bookstore. Every kind of book you could want. Rare and vintage as well as recently-published, some mingled together and some set apart. There are so many that the shelves just cant contain them! Some are carefully organized on shelves, and some grouped in precarious 4-foot "skyscrapers" on the floor. Like I said, absolutely ideal. You could just get lost in it. I was particularly impressed with the non-fiction section.

My special happy place, and I just discovered that its bigger than ever! If you love books, you have to visit this store. This is the sort of haphazard book shop of your dreams, where you might not find what you were looking for, but you will definitely find something amazing. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore.

They didnt have any of the books that I was looking for and the staff got very snotty when facts about the Democrat partys opposition to the civil rights act were brought up. It was as if since these incontrovertible facts dont gut their liberal theology, they must not exist! How small minded!

I love Jackson Street Books! Im an old bookseller from northern Indiana and have always found good camaraderie at this wonderful book shop in the quaint Old Market. I have recently moved to the area and am looking forward to many days of browsing the shelves.

Im not sure how anyone can find anything in this place. Its got lots of books and a ton that youve probably never heard of. Great place to find a diamond in the rough... If you can only find it... Shelf organization has something left to be desired.

Librarians would hate this place. there are books everywhere with only a slight bit of organization. But I LOVED IT! You can spend hours here wandering about the stacks, so keep track of time so you dont get locked in at closing.

Its a nice little bookstore... lots to look through and choose from... prices range from excellent to totally unacceptable...Ive spent many dollars here over the years lol...Just wish it was a little more organized...

Tried to sell my antique book and was immediately shot down. He didnt even look at my book just said no. Never greeted when I walked through the door and there were books piled on the ground.

OMG, So many books so little time. Be prepared to get lost in the maze of books. Many hard to find or older books.You can sell books back at a very fair price. Best used book store ever!
