Big Lots was having a mattress sale and we ordered a split box spring with the mattress, however the box springs were not in stock. They took down our information and told us they would call when it came in. We got busy with renovating a house, new jobs, and baby on the way so 6 months passed quickly with no call. We found time to go up there, spoke with the manager, but we didnt have our receipt and was basically sent home. A month later we pulled the receipt from our files and found time again. One staff member recognized us and was helpful setting a positive tone. The two other men helping were curious since they were new to the matter but with a little checking back and forth they were able to help. They didnt have the split and we opted for the full so the Furniture Lead (Mike) gave us half our money back for the price difference and helped us load it. So long story short, they could of made it much more difficult but everyone seemed in a good mood, follow what protocol they have and made it work.

Its a Big Lots. Not as nice as the newer ones out in West County, but thats pretty normal for the difference between refurbishing an existing building (which is better than building new buildings). I regularly go there to save on all sorts of goods. Im always surprised when Ive spent $75 or $100, but then I dont have to buy chips or jam or toothpaste for a long time. I like it that they get Toms Toothpaste and other higher end products, and when they do I stock up. Ive always liked Big Lots and this is a regular one, so its good. Ive never had a problem returning anything. I like it that they can keep a record of your purchase and email a receipt.

Not a good store. I love big lots, but this store is not good. Every single time I have gone there (and there have been many) the wait is excessively long. I had a cashier about to serve me when she walked away to put carts back in the stall. She said she would be with me in a minute, but it was very rude. Customers should come first. And I was not the only one waiting. The store is also not very clean - its very poorly organized, things are just randomly scattered - yes, this could be from customers, but you need to pick up after them. Things are packed very tightly in there. There is little space to move around.

What products they sell are always more or equally expensive than that you get at the price fixing stores of Schnucks, Dierbergs, and Shop N Save. The Big Lots out west in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Well-Northern California (far away from the big city- Cally) are way, way, way cheaper. A 50 oz tin of ravioli is 1.50$ or a box of good cereal is always under 2$. Yet the big lots you shlubbs have here in Suck Louis, Misery, well, they are hyper priced and a rip off.

This is your marked down everything store! you never really know what you might find and the products change on a regular basis. For this reason, I usually dont go here with my shopping list. But its fun to just browse - I usually end of finding an assortment of things that are fun to try or I needed but hadnt gotten around to picking up yet. Check them out!

The price is reasonable. They have alot of different brands (food section)that other stores dont have that are new and different and fun to try. Some stores have a bigger electronics department than others. This one is pretty skimpy.

Love Big Lots!! Can be hit or miss for some items, generally advertised deals, but always find plenty of great products for bargain prices. Some of the employees have been there for years and are always friendly and very helpful.

Though their stock changes frequently, there are some items we get on a regular basis because they are priced so low (laundry detergent, organic baby food, etc.). During the summer months, theyve got great pool accessories.
