This Aldi is pretty good. The customer service is excellent, and the workers are very friendly. Because of the neighborhood there is always a security officer but they are always approachable. As with all Aldis the prices are excellent. I give this less than the full five stars because the produce is really patchy. I think that the neighborhood demographic accounts for some of this. It is hard though, when you want to feed your family fresh things, because I am guessing they dont cycle through produce as fast and therefore I often cannot buy certain items because they are on the verge of going bad. This Aldi also tends to run out of things more often than others. However the store, while being very old, is kept clean and well organized. It is the best price to quality option in its part of town for sure.

Remember to bring your own bags! Or youll need to find your own paper box inside for your groceries. If you forgot, you can also buy a bag at the checkout counter. Since Aldi is ultimately a German company, they have some interesting German delicacies as well. I have yet to see another place in St.Louis that has cheaper meat for the same quality. I definitely would recommend buying your meat here. (ex. 8 Pork chops for just $4-5.) The sauerkraut here is also very authentic since its only cabbage and salt in the ingredients. The kind that includes preservatives is unnecessary.

Aldi is really cheap, but they dont skimp on quality of lots of things, and I love the produce prices. Tiny compared to Schnuck s and sometimes their selection isnt as good as other stores, but chocolate always requires a trip to Aldis for their superior chocolate and selection. You also get in and out quickly even if you have to wait in line.

Whats not to love about Aldis (ok maybe the fact that I always forget to take a bag with me and frantically search for a box, or that you need a quarter for a cart). They always have great deals on food and even other closeout items. I love shopping here.
