Ordered a few things and a sectional sofa on Saturday where the quoted us wrong on our delivery price. The showed up at noon with the truck load but realized they had a wrong piece for the sectional and were going to come right back with the right piece. They asked if someone would be home and we said yes. At 5:30 we called and asked american freight where our couch piece was and they said it was put on the truck 20 mins ago and had already left the store. We called at 6:30, since the close at 7, to see where our piece was. They then said that it wouldnt be at our house till at least 8:30 because they had 3 stops in St.charles and then would stop by our house in Wentzville before Troy. At 9:30 they appear at our house AFTER Troy with the piece and finally put the sectional together and quickly leave. We sit on the couch and find out a piece is broken and caved in. By this point it is 10pm and they are closed. I call in the morning to inform them of the broken piece and the manager asks if it is "visibley" broken, which it was. He says they will replace it and drop it off today. We stayed up till 12am waiting for a truck to arrive and nobody did. I called the next morning and he said that the truck had gotten a flat tire and it was too late at night. I asked what time did they get a flat tire and he said 7pm even though they showed up at my house at 9:30 saturday, showing me he was creating excuses. He said they should have called me and then brushed off the fact that i had waited from 10am to 12pm on a broken couch piece. I then told him i needed it as soon as possible and he asked me what the latest could be. I informed him he had till 3pm to drop it off before i was returning the couch. They showed up at exactly 3pm waiting till the last minute. Great deal for the couch but completely horrible service. The delivery men they hire from an outside company were wonderfull but the American freight store is nightmare to get furniture from if you dont pick it up yourself.

After looking online, I found a sofa that I wanted to see in the store that was gray with purple accents. The website said it was in stock, so I drive 30 minutes to the St. Peters location for them to tell me they didnt have it in stock. I then called the store off Page and asked if they had it in stock as the website also indicated that it was. I was told no, but they had a sofa with chaise that I could look at in a different color or that they could order the sofa (if I paid for it, without seeing it in person). I then asked the lady on the phone what colors it comes in, to which she said "you know, like... blue and red...". When I asked specifically what colors it comes in, she gave the same reply. So then I asked a stupid question. "So youre saying it comes in blue with red accents or red with blue accents?" Her reply was no, let me find someone who can answer that for you. I was placed on hold for 6 minutes until I hung up. Apparently, no one knew...

Worst company ever-buyer beware-I would never recommend to anyone. They lied about cost of delivery and tried to make me pay an additional $30 after I already paid $75 which is what I was quoted. Once we unwrapped the sofa we noticed it was damaged. I called the store to tell them about it and they argued with me about the situation and yelled at me for about 30 minutes before they said they would deliver a new one the next day. The next day they delivred a new sofa and that sofa was also damanaged. When I called the store to let them know this set was also damaged they were rude and hung up on me. I would never buy anthing from this store. I called their customer service manager and have not received a call back. This was the worst expirience and their customer service was horrible. Good luck if you decided to purchase anything from them.

Our family went in to the St. Peters store today to purchase a mattress or a new bedroom set that was the special today. After speaking with one person as we walked in to explain that we were looking mattress, we were the passes off to someone else who was the mattress expert. As the mattress person was showing us how a new mattress would feel , I saw the bedroom set from there online add for $498. When we inquired about the add we were passed to another person. The bedroom specialist told us the bedroom in the advertising was not the bedroom set for that price. After talking with the bedroom specialist for 10 minutes telling him we wanted the bedroom set from the add for that price. We left and refuse to use this company again.

This place is terrible, they act like they offer good deals and they give a free lamp if you give them a 5 star rating on here. My parents had bought a 3 piece living room table set and when we put it together the legs wouldnt stay attached to the tables. We had noticed someone had tried using a strong glue on the tables and carefully put the box back together. And now they refuse to take it back and refund my parents their money. So for all of those who think this is a good place to shop i suggest looking somewhere else because this place is a crooked furniture store.

We went in just looking and found exactly what we have been looking for at all the other furniture stores. Not to mention at a great price. No sale pressure and Doug really took care of me. He helped me through the purchase and was there to load everything when I picked it up the next day. Icing on the cake was Doug managing to fit a sofa, love seat, and recliner in the back of the truck so we only had to take one trip. He even tied everything down like a pro so I didnt have to worry.

We went in last year and bought a living room and a dinning room set. The quality is great!! We love the price as much as the quality! The staff members are friendly and very helpful! The option range is decent too.I recommended a couple of friends to go buy furniture there afterwards and everyone likes it! I went in again to purchase another bedroom set and some head boards this morning. Wonderful shopping experience and unbeatable price! This is definitely our favorite furniture store!!

Didnt deliver when they said they where I knew they where on some bull cause I never received information on the drivers who had my furniture but received it on some one who said they didnt have my furniture the store act as if they didnt care if I ever receive my furniture cause furniture there before and it was good received it the same day and they removed my old furniture thats what made me and my husband come back to them not I dont believe we will be returning

My experience here was amazing. I worked with Brigham(I think thats his name) or joe and he was great. It was a hot day and I was very irritated, I came into American Freight and the staff Brighten up my day. They were very helpful and explained everything to me so well. Also I been searching for years for the perfect couch and I found it here. Im extremely excited and happy I came to this store in St. Peter. Keep up the good work guys, you did an amazing job
