Love NAPA! While traveling check engine light comes on! Me: Ill stop at the first NAPA store I see on google maps. Theyve always helped out before! (Last time it was a low voltage error in Tulsa. Bought two batteries for the truck $500 sale!) This store wont read the code it wont loan you a scanner to check the code yourself. I was hesitant at first to stop at this store because of the low rating. I convinced myself that its just one bad review...its NAPA they "know how" to help! I told the counter person my situation only for him to say no but we sell the readers. I explain other stores have always helped out. He says those must have been corporate stores. I told him that must explain your three star rating compared to their five stars. I got a dumbfounded grin, I left having been fully prepared to purchase/fix the issue. Maybe this review will bring this franchise some "know how"!

Cant say enough about how nice both Paul and the young man who ordered my part for me on Labor Day were. When I ordered my part he verified the part number I had was correct without giving me the condescending, "well youre a woman" attitude I get from AutoZone and Advanced. Ordered without prepayment or obligation. When I called to see if it came in Paul verified he had it right there in front of him. He knew who I was when I walked in the door and had it there ready for me. THIS is customer service.

I would give a 0 rating if I could. Purchased a cable from the NAPA online after talking to the store in St. Charles and double checking with one of their associates. It came in and it doesnt fit. So instead of being able to return it at the local NAPA, I have to drive to a corporate location. So I drive here to return the item, have the order the number and their system cannot look up the receipt. Im done with NAPA. Dont shop here, just avoid NAPA as a whole.

Three times the price but they carry what others dont. Even though they sold me the wrong parts yesterday, I would go back.
