At first I wasnt sure if Id like it as the person in charge was quiet and reserved, but helpful. After wed been in the store a while and were specific about our needs we discovered to our delight that the shop-keeper and staff were willing and happy to help us and to answer our abundant questions. If you are interested in alternative lifestyle, TUMBLED STONES, or pretty baubles, this is the place to visit. The proprietor offers quite the selection for the stone collector, those who are interested in metaphysics and healing, to the budding or even established psychic or witch. If you are interested in one or all above or simply want to breath in the lovely scent of incense, I encourage you to hot foot it over to Renaissance Books & Gifts. I hope your experience is as delightful as mine was.

I always stop in here when I visit my family in the Springfield area. This is such a fun hole-in-the-wall store where many treasures can be found. The staff is always so nice. This last time I had my 3-year old niece with me, and they were on top if it when they heard her tell me she needed to go potty. I never even had to ask where the bathroom key was, they immediately showed me. They have such a wide variety of items I could spend hours in there looking around. I was a bit dissapointed this last trip though, there were three things I wanted that were out of stock or not in my size. This usually never the case so maybe it was because it was so soon after the holidays? On the bright side that tells me they are becoming more popular so maybe they will stay open for a long time.

First thing I noticed upon entering the store was the sense of peace and tranquility that settled over me. I immediately felt at home and I knew I was in a place where I would be accepted without question and never discriminated against. Then I noticed their wide variety of books, ritualistic tools, talismans, magickal items, and beautiful trinkets. The only thing that irked me was that there was nothing involving sprititual Satanism, which I practice, but I can actually understand them not carrying anything labeled as "Satanist" simply to avoid offending people. They did still have most of the ritual and magickal items I needed, though, so I will still visit this store very often. If not for anything else, definitely for the wonderful atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I made up a "Quest for a Protection Ally" for our friends son to make an "Ally" to protect him from all the scary noises & bad dreams hes been having. We dubbed the store the "Witchs Grotto" since thats obviously where you get protection stones. When calling the store, the employees were very excited to help. When we got there, they were all in on the story line. The King & Queen of the Faries gifted the stone to our friends son & wished him luck on his travels. We are very grateful for their help! My boyfriends brother heard what we did & well be calling the store soon for their help in another "adventure/quest" Thank you for all your help! We all greatly appreciate it!

This is the premiere occult books and novelties store in the area. They have a large selection of Tarot cards (hundreds of decks, and hundreds more you can order), workable stones, jewelry, and of course, books. They are much nicer and better about ordering books than other stores Ive been to (at least since I moved to Springfield). There is always the scent of incense, and some of the books Ive gotten there still smell like the store when I flip through them. I dont often go in there because I end up spending too much money when I do. :)

I stopped by Renaissance for my first time today. I LOVED IT. The staff was incredibly kind and very helpful. There was an excellent selection of books, manuals, and guides for all paths of life, as well as crystals, candles, incense, altar items, and decorations. I had not intended to make a purchase but I left with 6 books and a beautiful set of Tibetan prayer flags. I cannot wait until my next visit! Thank you!!

I really love this store. Insanely big selection of metaphysical products, books, ect to choose from. Biggest store of its kind that Ive ever seen. Store is very clean and staff are really knowledgeable and always very friendly when Ive been in, prices are on the mark on everything. Regular customer, will continue to be so.

Never heard of this place until I was doing errands with a friend and this was on her list. Very Very packed place with heaps & heaps of gift giving ideas for your eclectic friends and family. Rocks, candles, incense, essential oils, wind-chimes, books, cards, jewelry and on and on. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

A wonderful place! No matter what your faith Renaissance people will make you feel welcome and like youre part of the family. Great people who work there are extremely friendly and will do everything they can to help you. Ive been going to renaissance since the late 90s and Renaissance has always been the best around!

This place is great, They have a lot of eclectic items, lots of books, and other unique gift ideas. Nice Atmosphere as well. and the People are always helpful. Some Prices can be a tad high compared to some internet prices, however most of the items are priced right. Great place for sure!
