This review is for the grooming. We took our puppy here because it was closer to us then the Pet Smart in Eagan. This was his second time ever getting a hair cut. At the Pet Smart he got a A+ on his report card. At petco they threatened to not have him come back. They said that we needed to muzzle him because he was bitting. I dont understand what happened, he doesnt bite and he has been socialized from the moment we got him. Do they not know how to work with puppies? If he was bitting I understand their concern with getting bitten... but come on. He is a puppy. There is no need to threaten a customer with muzzeling their dog and saying they wont take them back. That is just rude. Anyway, we arent going back. We asked for a trim, he got shaved. And his hair looks like it got cut with a weed wacker. I dont care if I have to wait a week to get into Pet Smart (Eagan location ) they know what they are doing and they are very polite.

The manager cared abt my visit. They continually are out of a certain product even a day after they get it stocked . he gave me a coupon for free few packs of food. That was very nice because I was having a bad day already. One of those "I am a woman who has had enough" days. But I was still nice to him. He explained the situation with the ordering. Things havent changed in that area, the stock is still never in of merrick chicken chunks backcountry due to distributor issues . But, I learned that if I order in the store they can waive my shipping fee. So once they start offering the product I will order for the month and it comes to my home free of charge . So hey that works. Thank you for caring about your customers. Now we just need a CAT TREAT BUFFET AND MORE STIMULATING CAT TOYS :)

MISERABLE EXPERIENCE yesterday at this place. Grooming for two pets. Upon pickup I decided to buy some treats first. Two registers open and one only taking cash and checks. Ten people in line. So I ask the grooming department if I can purchase the treats there when they check me out for the grooming. NOOOO. So back to the long line then the card swiper doesnt work. "Can you enter my card number manually"? NOOOO. So I put the treats back and head to check out my two dogs. Can I pay there to avoid the ridiculous long line? NOOOO. Useless unkempt millennial manager Roy -instead of fixing the problem for a customer-tells me to leave. NEVER AGAIN. Petsmart has better technology & manners.

I shop here because its convenient, but this store has gone down in both upkeep and service. The last few times Ive been inside the aisles are full of boxes and things just left laying, with nobody around. If you need a cart, it is actually hard to move around because its so messy. They also have some cashiers that are odd enough to make me want to go elsewhere. their comments while checking out are so random and ongoing you are left speechless or shaking your head as you walk out. I know its better to have someone trying to be nice, but asking numerous personal questions in front of others in line is not ideal.

Love this Petco location and their employees, especially Lily who was the most friendly staff Ive met yet there today. She politely asked for a donation to their pet rescue, (which I did) and remembered to thank me for it before I left. She also noticed that I mentioned adopting a stray cat recently and gave me a nice cat product coupon book. Lily is a great example of all of the staff at this location, a genuinely friendly employee who understands great customer service. Also, the refillable cat litter Petco features is absolutely the best solution for that cat need around and I hope they never discontinue it!

I go into this Petco for several reasons. The first one is the employees are very helpful, especially Audra in he aquatics department. She is very knowledgable about fresh and saltwater fish. She is personable and caring as she spends the time to make sure you are getting what you need and answers questions. She is great at ordering fish that I request and conscientious about calling me about them when necessary. The aquatics department is well cared for and stocked with fish supplies. This is a very good Petco to come to purchase fish.

The experience I just had with the manager was horrible. We were trying to use coupons that were attached to the fish tank we purchased. They had expired in June but since they were on the box on the shelf we should still be able to use them. I had to argue with her to let us use the coupons and then when I asked how we could use the other ones later she said we couldnt. There is a coupon for 20% off Petco freshwater fish she told me they dont do coupons at Petco for live animals and the coupon was wrong. Well lady, read the freaking coupon.

Pretty nice store with knowledgeable staff. Items are a bit over priced compared to other near by stores, the wait time for check out can get long, and more times than not I am looking for staff members for assistance and it takes quite a bit of time to find someone. I discontinued going here for cricket, because I have been substantially short on the amount of crickets I purchased, more than once (bought 30 and there were only 17 in the bag). The cashier gave me my 30 and a few extras, but I dont like being ripped off.

Couldnt find the dog food we usually buy and we were completely out so I needed something ASAP. I was pleasantly surprised at how well informed the employee who helped me was about the brands of foods, how they compared to what we usually buy our dog and what might be a better choice. And instead of pushing only her product she told me of another store that likely carried the senior large breed brand I was looking for in the first place. Thank you for putting the animals above your sale.

I have been shopping here since I got my dog a year and a half ago they have always been helpful in finding the right chew toy, harness, ect. When I brought him to the groomers there I had to tell them that he doesnt like the nail clipper to use the grinder and they were surprised but they tried the clipper and found out that he didnt like it but they wanted to make sure. They did a great job with him and he is always a happy pup when I pick him up after his pampering.

When you walk in the door, you get a whiff of animal food/poop smell that doesnt go away. The aisles are a bit cramped, and the selection is fairly low. When I checked out, there was clutter on the floor that was in the way of my cart. The staff is friendly, but they could do a better job of running the place. I go here solely because the location is convenient and they carry the cat litter I buy. Otherwise, I much prefer PetSmart.
