Two trips to the store - very disappointing both times. First of all - dont EVER bring a stroller (cant even get in the front door - steps, pole & old door) or a child. You will be borderline asked to leave and at the very best just made to feel unwelcome and like a total bother or nuisance. They do however have a "childs area" on the far, far end of their space that you have to walk through racks and different portions of the building to get to that will seem like they dont mind a child accompanying their parent to the store to SPEND MONEY THERE. All I wanted to do was buy some basics and give them my money. Im not hard to please, but apparently they are. The two older women are extremely unpleasant, unfriendly, condescending and unprofessional. One of them just looks at you with utter disgust. Their conversation about drugs in front of my 3 year old this morning - nonetheless any customer of any age, was inappropriate. I dont know if you have to be some hot to trot elite runner living on Summitt Ave to get even a "hello" upon entering the store, but if you are looking for even the most basic customer service - go elsewhere! I considered leaving a review about my first experience, as it was so bad...but Im not really a "reviewer" and thought it was just a bad day at the store and for the employees. I only went back a couple weeks later because I had an exchange. Never again. Ive never been treated this way or had any poor experiences at any of the other metro running stores. Endurance House in Eagan, Run MN in Burnsville, Marathon Sports in Minneapolis - cant recommend them all enough! Its really a shame when most all employees are also participants and experts in the sport of running. Were looking for their opinions, feedback, experience and expertise. Not their judgement or cold shoulder. Such a great running community in the Twin Cities and its really too bad that Run N Fun doesnt contribute to that commoradore.

The good news is that Run N Fun has a huge selection or running clothes. The bad news is that Run N Fun has a huge selection of running clothes and doesnt provide assistance in navigating their inventory or narrowing down the options. I came in asking for knee length tights with a zip pocket. It would have helped me if someone could have said, "Look at these X number of options." Instead, I was left to search through racks and racks of tights on my own. (Some of which were so high that it hurt my neck when I searched for the size tags.) When I asked questions, the response was "its all personal preference, or "all the [fill in the blank} brand tights are over there" (with a vague wave). If I hadnt already invested 40 minutes in driving to the shop, I wouldnt have spent the 45 minutes it took to find my options. When I checked out, I attempted to offer feedback about my experience. But before I could get a sentence out, the employee told me "Its all personal preference," and went on to tell me that what I purchased wasnt her preference, and what her preferences for running clothes were. I left the store feeling like didnt want my business, and didnt care what sort of experience I had shopping there. Too bad. I like my gear. I would have purchased additional items if theyd shown any interest at all in helping me.

I went into Run N Fun on a Friday afternoon, looking for a good pair of shoes for some long-distance running. I was barely inside the door when one of the staff greeted us, very friendly, and offered to help with whatever I needed. One thing that they do right from the start is a gait assessment, which really helped me narrow down my options to the best types of shoes for me. I was there for probably an hour, and the staff member was there with me the entire time, going down to the basement storage to get nearly ten different brands for me to try on and compare. He was incredibly patient while I tried and re-tried shoes in different combinations, and encouraged me to go outside with the shoes on to test run them on the pavement. Then when I picked my brand and model, he went back to find all of the different color options in that shoe. Overall, I was very impressed. The staff were personable and helpful, offering their own advice from personal experience and making sure that what I got was the best product(s) for me. I was also given an invitation to join their running club. Great experience. Will definitely be shopping there when I need more running gear.

I showed up 2 months ago to Run N Fun as a large man and told the staff there that I was starting a running program and needed new shoes. While wearing shoes that I had for almost a year and describing how my run the other night was extremely painful. Despite the fact that I was obviously not in any kind of shape other than round, I did not receive any judgement and did not get treated any differently than any other customer. They treated me with respect and as a customer should be treated. I stopped in today to tell them that I appreciated being treated professionally and that I had been running 2 miles every other day for the past two months, granted it was a interval program, but as of last week I have started running 20 minutes straight now. I feel that the respect I received and the great customer service to someone who obviously was just starting an exercise program has made a customer of me for life. Just felt that people reading these reviews needed to know that they are respectful of all runners, even those who are just starting out.

I used to have a problem every time I will go out running. I didnt know that running shoes will make a big difference in like style of the shoe, find proper size, and I also didnt know that it also depends on how you step. I saw a video on you about run n fun, and how they help you out finding the right runnin shoes. I drove far to get to st. Paul run n fan store and did help me finding the perfect shoes for me. I went running 3 mIles with and I can tell the huge differences, my legs didnt hurt or feet all those 3 miles. Thank You to the staff at run n fun at the st. Paul location. Very friendly stuff. I will come back to buy more running shoes from them.

Im a beginner runner and needed some advice on good running shoes that wouldnt make me miserable; as I was having a bad experience with the not-as-expensive ones I bought about a month ago. These guys look at your foot and your stride and find you shoes according that will work best for YOU. They are super helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable! The best part is they let you take the shoes on a test run to see if you like them... SO worth it to invest the $90 on a GOOD pair of shoes, than to suffer and get by cheap with a $40 pair that doesnt fit right. Id recommend them to anyone!

Run N Fun is THE BEST speciality running store in the Twin Cities!!! They have a large selection of trainers and spikes with very experienced employees that will help fit you with the perfect pair! They have awesome customer service and will make a runner of any level feel comfortable! Besides shoes, they offer a large selection of clothing for any condition that MN can throw at a runner. I would always recommend Run N Fun to anyone who is looking for a new pair of shoes! They also give back to the running community by supporting local high schools and colleges!
