Today I went to ship a small package and was told it was against regulation to use my own box. This came up only when I asked how much additional insurance was going to be. If I had said nothing it would have been shipped. The person who quoted this regulation was a female clerk and it seemed odd since Ive shipped units like this for years and never experienced this. I told her I was taking my business elsewhere. She actually called the next closest store to try to block me from shipping the unit there; when I arrived I was told that she said the condition of the box was the reason she had try to stop the shipment and the clerk at Eden Prairie fedex examined the box and said it was fine. So the result of this overzealous employee was that she lied twice, once to me about this regulation and once to the Eden Prairie store about what she had told me. It seems in these reviews there have been other problems with phantom regulations that only this store seems to know. I recommend you demand to speak to a manager or call another store to verify anything that seems odd here. Ill be filing a formal complaint so fedex is aware of this behavior here. Edit: The manager did personally call me after hearing about the situation to help me understand some of the conflicting policies that can exist in such a complicated service industry. I do believe she was sincere in her efforts which should be noted here. From the discussion I see that this is a ambiguity that happens at the corporate level which is why my experience changed from location to location. Ill leave it at that and raise my rating three stars because of the personal attention I received with advice that will actually help in the future. The remaining star cant be checked because of the way the original clerk handled the situation.

Ive used their printing services 2 times. The first time I got a calendar, which was alright, and the second time I got wedding Save the Dates printed. Both times I didnt like their printing quality. I had uploaded my files online with the save the date and there is a little comment section, I wrote in there that if they were fuzzy looking, I didnt want them. I was called from the store and was told that I should come in to take a look at them before they printed them, but the lady asked me what fuzzy was. Really? It is a printing place. If they image in blurry, pixely, printed pourly.... that is fuzzy. I really didnt think that needed to be explained. Needless to say, I will not be returning to FedEx for ANY future printing needs.

Well, I went there last night (Friday, around 6PM) to mail a package. I asked for help in filling out the information (I had forgotten my reading glasses at home) and was told I had to do it myself because of regulations. I asked the clerk if hed be so kind to read what each line wanted and Id write it (I can see enough to write, just couldnt make out the tiny print.) He said "What does it matter? It wont go until Monday. Everythings been picked up, already." I left to fill out the mailing label at home, and, as I walked to my car, the FedEx truck was pulling into the parking lot. I didnt go back in to ask or comment, though. Thinking that Ill have to take my business elsewhere.

This is my second visit to this store, and will be my last. Store is clean, well organized, but the employees are strangely un-FedEx like. They take a long time to acknowledge a customer at the counter, and even longer to serve them. The man who waited on me only had to make one copy (yep, just one copy). He made it, kept it with him, and disappeared without explanation for 5 plus minutes. When I asked another employee, she was far from conciliatory. Is there just a morale problem here? The last time I visited, I had a similar problem. Customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience.

The atmosphere at this store is strange. No one will acknowledge you when your standing right at the counter. An employee helping one other customer, two other employees walking around and Im just standing there. Not even a "be right with you" I stood there for ten minutes without even a glance of acknowledgement from anyone until the employee was completed with the other customer. Really unfriendly and unwelcoming. Off to UPS I go.

If youre looking for a FedEx location where the employees hate their jobs and hide in the back room, visit this one. We frequent this location for dropping off packages because its closest to us, and often see long lines. Even dropping off a package already packaged and labeled can garner a glare from anyone behind the counter. I wouldnt expect to be a valued customer here. Drive the extra 10 minutes to the Eden Prairie location.

Good place, I have shipped many things through here. Usually a nice, quick experience. On rare occasions, it does seem to take a little longer than necessary to be helped. But, I have had no problems.

Until a few months, I would have given this place the lowest rating possible. New employees have made this place a very pleasant experience.
