This is the only Apple Store in the area, and to be completely honest: it sucks. Apple is a great company and offers great products (TO AN EXTENT) but this location really puts shame to its name. Of course, you get the regular Apple Store experience by walking in and being uncomfortably surrounded by sale-hungry Apple Store workers (who most of them know NOTHING about anything), but if you have a problem with one of your crappy a Apple products that are built and designed to NOT last, you have to wait around forever (appointment or not) for them to get to you. While youre waiting, somebody will probably come around about 3 times JUST to make sure they know what your problem is before and actual tech comes. I waited around for a problem with my iPhone camera, and when the tech finally came, I told him my problem and then he downright told me I WAS WRONG and that the problem was on the screen. Not only was I shocked at his rude attitude but his ignorance and stupidity. I then went ahead and proved to him that the problem was in the camera lens and still didnt believe me because apparently it "never happens" even though I looked it up online and it happens ALL THE TIME (broken lens so dust gets inside). He then took my phone in the back room, brought it back, and told me some random completely impossible scenario of how I broke my phone when in fact I did nothing. Then, of course, he told me I had to pay half the cost of the phone itself just to fix the camera. Ridiculous. I took the phone to another location when I was out of town in another state and they replaced me iPhone no problem. This Apple Store sucks. Its way too crowded (mostly filled with a bunch of lookers, not customers), the workers are completely uneducated, rude, and helpless, and they dont stand by the products they sell. Completely disgusted with this location. The only way they know how to fix anything is to just give you a new phone (which if youre out of warranty is going to suck) or make you pay and wait days for replacement parts. ALSO they treat every customer differently. Literally. On a previous visit, I went with a friend and we both bought the same exact iPad from two different reps. My friends sales person gave them a $50 gift card just for purchasing and mine did not. Also, while I was waiting at the Genius (Idiot) fiasco, I saw many people with the same problem treated completely different. Ridiculous. This store needs to take a look around and treat customers fairly. Shame on this store and shame on its employees. The only good thing about it is the fact that they dont sell Androids, because those things are even worse than the crap they pull.

Two of my kids have iPhone 6S and I took both of them to the Apple store back in January because both of their phones were just randomly dieing even with a full charge. I had to pay $70 to have the battery replaced on ONE phone (mind you we just got the phones in January 2016). Today I had to go back to the Apple store because my daughters phone would not connect to WiFi and she could not use any of her apps or text. The only thing the phone would do was make outgoing calls. Went into the Apple store and a guy took my info and I explained to him what the problem was. He told me that they didnt do troubleshooting in the store and that they pretty much just repair cracked screens and sell Apple products. He then tells me he will set up so I can call tech support from their store. After being on the phone with tech support for 47 minutes, that guy tells me that he cant figure it out and that he will talk to his senior advisor. Ten more minutes on hold and he says there is nothing more they can do over the phone. So I talked to the first guy that set me up and he puts me at a table to wait for someone else to come help me. The guy they sent out was awesome. He had my daughters phone fixed in about 10 minutes. Now why couldnt they have this guy help me right from the beginning? After spending a little over two hours in their store with a cranky 2 year old, and having four different people help me, her phone is finally fixed. Disappointed that Apple gave me the run around while I was in their store. If I knew what I was doing, I would have called Apple Care support from the comforts of my own home instead of driving 30 miles away to have them tell me to call them from the store.

Genius Bar Review Living in the Detroit area, I have the choice between the Twelve Oaks store and the Somerset Collection store. Ive learned to choose the Twelve Oaks location, because it is less hectic than the Somerset location. When using the Genius Bar, a few things will make your life easier: First, go onto the Apple support website and do the things you can do at your home to solve the problem. If you need help from the store, make an appointment. If your appointment is on the weekend or an evening, expect a longer wait time and more crowed conditions - I prefer to visit the Genius bar during the early part of the week, and during the daytime hours. Make a list of the things that are going wrong, including any printouts that you can, and also make a list of the things you did to resolve the problem. My experience at the 12 Oaks Genius Bar was great. I was seen immediately upon arriving, and my problem (a failed hard drive and video card) was diagnosed quickly. The repair took two days, and I received updates from the Genius Bar. When I received my machine, it was in great working order. Everyone was professional and courteous along the way. One this is for sure: It pays to plan ahead, and to be gracious. Angry shoppers who have irrational expectations are rarely happy. Plan ahead, and youll have a good experience.

I dont usually take the time to write a review for any company unless I am thoroughly pleased and impressed with how my issue has been resolved. I was having bad technical issues with my iPhone 7 Plus, which at this point is not even a full 90 days old. I was very frustrated, but the retail employee who greeted me was very attentive and responsive, and with a positive attitude walked me to the tech support line. The store was very busy and yet I was checked-in in less than ten minutes and that employee was efficient as well. Most of all, Im very pleased with how well the tech support employee addressed the issues. Instead of telling me I needed to wait for the software to come in that my phone needed, she replaced my entire unit which was only possible due to the warranty- so dont expect it when you go in. She efficiently restored everything to my new phone, found me a running arm band that I decided to add last minute, and was overall VERY professional, efficient which I appreciate in anyone, and accommodating. I AM VERY PLEASED with this store and this will be my location of choice unless there is an emergency!

scheduled an appointment to pick up an apple watch and i get treated like some idiot. i wanted to come in an hour earlier and was told no i couldnt do that. then some other girl got on the phone when i asked for a manager and told me there was none in stock, even thought i had already reserved it! so it didnt make any sense. i spoke with a manager who also said are you sure you reserved the watch not an appointment and made me feel even more stupid. read him the email of it and told him that got the watch reserved not the appointment. so further more i am displeased with the service i was issued today over the phone. no one knows whats going on and they made me feel uncomfortable.
