Do not expect any help from an employee or manager, if you can find one. They also charge a fee for online ordering and pickup, Home Depot does not. Ive shopped at a number of different Menards hoping to find one with decent customer service but they all seem to act as though they are doing you a favor. None of the Menards have a clue about customer service while Home Depot does. Some of the merchandise is really cheap crap and not worth the price but that is how they can show lower prices than Home Depot or Lowes. I was looking at buying a big dollar item online and having it shipped to the store since shipping directly would cost a fortune (Home Depot would be free shipping to home). However, if there was a problem with the item of any kind such as not as described, scratched or similar, I would still have to pay a 10% restocking fee and that would have been $200! They said those are the rules, that is another reason I will not shop here. Ive given up shopping at Menards and shop only at Home Depot or Lowes.

Has a large variety of products. Two dislikes: 1.) The checkout design. Unusual cart unloading area has lead to awkward encounters with cashiers. The self-bagging system and payment location is not ideal. Your are trying to pay and bag at the same time while trying to be courteous of the people behind you. I have accidentally left items I have paid for at checkout and unknowingly left the store. 2.) Location of some items. For example, if I want one 2" x 4" of treated lumber I have to go all the way to the back of their property to the outdoor storage area. The doors to access this area are not properly and clearly labeled. Free idea: Stock one aisle with a few boards of various dimensions. Bulk can be obtained outdoors. Last, customer service is a hit or a miss. I have been assisted by extremely helpful staff but I have also left extremely disappointed by rude, ill-informed staff that possess no knowledge of the products being sold. I like the store but I could be much better.

Melissa the assistant store manager,along with Brandon the flooring department manager needs some training in customer service!!! I purchased 12 boxes of tile with the assistance of the associate from the flooring department and turns out that you have to be cautious of what they call DYE LOT my floor looks like a checker board ... it was too late when the installer noticed that he was working with different shades of blue/gray. It would have been nice if Brandon would have fore warned me when I purchased all of his stock in this color. So once I had the product installed and called back to store he gives me this OH WELL!! attitude. So I decided to go in person to speak with a ACCOUNTABLE store manager only to find Melissa that has no clue of customer service skills, I feel that Menards employees need to be more customer service friendly and trained better on how to help the everyday consumer.

Very poor customer service from the woman who is the manager of the vanity dept. False advertising on an item I wished to purchase. The ticket price was $215 that was located directly above the model that I wanted and when it was rung up it came up over $100 higher. She claimed they made a mistake and had blocked this model from the ticket with a magic marker. She said I should have known this by looking at the ticket!!!! I guess I was supposed to be able to read right thru the black line they made across the model name. She would not go to the store manager even after I asked to speak to one and told her I will never return to Menards again. She said she would be fired if she gave me the item at the sale price. She set a very bad example about how to treat customers in front of her employees and other customers who were in hearing distance.

Ordered $3,000 worth of specialty siding only to find out 3 days later it went on sale - of course Menards wouldnt tell you it was going on sale. I just happened to stumble across it while browsing their website. Well I took my receipt back to the store for a savings of $400 only to find out they would only give me a store credit. What a bunch of crap! I paid with a check (same as cash) I should get a refund in cash or check. There was one person working the counter and it took about 20 minutes to complete the transaction. This was because she had to have a manager do a override on the register because of the high dollar amount. I had a wonderful experience when returning some insulation to Lowes, 2 people waiting on customers, in and out with cash in hand in less then 5 minutes.

BEWARE!!! I purchased 5,929.00 worth of material for my new home. there was a 2week delay on my order I was very patient when it was received 90% of the material was damaged all warped and literally holes in the fence mernards didnt do anything for me.i kept calling them i was put on hold then minutes went by they hung up. I asked for a pick up they said they dont have a driver and once they had one available they wanted to charge me a fee for pick up. I thought all this was a dream very disappointed never come here, manager was very rude. I have pictures below to show you what was sent to my home . DO NOT BUY BELMONT 6X6 TAN FENCE.

Pathetic nobody knows what the hell they are doing,,,, 3×3 freaking times they have sent me from Hall road to Warren with wrong part numbers wrong inventory numbers and nobody knows from one location to the other how to explain how the ball was dropped, I understand mistakes happen but this is 3 out of 3 times, I advise everybody who has to go to a different location to pick something up that supposedly was verified on the phone to double and triple check quadruple check these ignorant individuals working at Menards,

Menards is a good store for affordable diy products. The motto here seems to be quantity over quality. You can buy just about everything here, but be very picky when you need good quality. In some cases you wont find it. Many products are acceptable though, and some are great. Check out their vast choice in cabinetry hardware, as well as construction materials. The indoor and outdoor lumberyards are huge and good. At least Menards recognizes that treated wood shouldnt be stored inside.

Ive always liked Menards, but this one is absolutely massive in comparison to the others Ive gone to. Prices can be a bit up there, but the fact that they carry practically everything and such a vast variety of each item to choose from, that pretty much excuses the cost. Every time I come here the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to walk you to an aisle and ensure that youre fully satisfied with their answer before walking away. Wonderful store, wonderful staff.

horroible customer service they hung up on me everytime i had called....... on top of it they showed that they had the bookshelves i had ordered in stock but when i went to track my order it said its on back order i had recieved an email and a voicemail from one of the workers regarding my order and i try calling to get ahold of him and this guy named austin hangs up every single time. Its making me very fustrated just about to cancle this order and get my refund.
