Do not shop here! Ripped My daughter off for fifty bucks. Told her to put money down to hold car, so she gave $50 dollars on Monday and they said that if she told them she did not want the car by next the day (Tuesday) they would give the money back. Also said they could finance the car for $99 a month for three years, which is all a single mother in situation can afford. They got her financed for $169 a month for two years not three like they said. Then when she told hem she did not want the car because she could not afford it and wanted her money back they switched what they said and said they told us if they did not get her financed she could get her money back!! Not cool! Took $50 from a single mom and her one year old! Very tricky with there words. Just what you would expect from a used car sales place!!! Also yelled at her and got really smart mouthed with me! Stay Away!!!!!!!!! Horrible Place!!! Owner is a real Jerk! Would rather have me tell everyone what a rotten place it is rather than just give her her $50 back. He will loose more than that on bad reviews!!! Have had much better luck at Imlay City Ford Used Cars with Dale Simpson!!

We have bought 2 cars from this place but NO MORE. I am looking for a car and found one 20 miles from home and Imlay City Auto Sales is only 2 miles from my home and I found the same car there. The cars were in the same condition, same year and same color. The only differences were the price and miles. The one 20 miles away has 79,000 the one in this place has 69,000. The one in this place was $3000 more than the other. So we test drove the one here in Imlay and asked for them to go only slightly down. Instead of kindly declining the man acted like we were fools and knew nothing about cars. Also, as we were leaving he said "Thank you for wasting our gas". This was not only unprofessional and extremely rude. The man has just lost a high paying customer over $2.00 worth of gas. We will NEVER buy from them again and we have told family and friends about this indecent. They also are appalled over the situation and will not buy from such unprofessional people.

I do not recommend going to Imlay City Auto Sales based on my experience. The sales person said the car that I was looking at had been inspected for mechanical issues. Based on this assumption, I paid an independent licensed mechanic to have the vehicle gone through and found approx. $1200.00 worth of repairs. After returning to Imlay City Auto Sales with a laundry list of repairs needed, they made excuses, said they must have forgotten to do the inspection. I asked the owner kindly to reimburse my money spent for the inspection and he denied, then he suggested that I buy another one of their used vehicles. Based on my experience, I do not recommend going to Imlay City Auto Sales. Unfortunately, I dont get the impression that their #1 priority is the customer.

Bought a used car their friday (11/16/12)around 3pm got a good deal 11,300 for a 65k durango. Drove back home with car (around 28 miles) next morning (11/17/12)took my pregnant wife who was on strict bed rest but had to see twilight and when leaving the morning show (around 1pm) the car would not start. I called the lot they (Dave) said i bought the car as is nothing they can do about it. Less than 24hrs and less than 40 miles stranded and they would not stand behind their vehicle. Go somewhere else!!!! problem ended up being the battery and it when pulled out of durango was warped like it had been on charger for days. I emailed and called they will not make it right! Save your money or spend a little more for a better vehicle!

Sid (the owners brother) helped us purchase a used car. The transaction was quick & simple, no stress, and he was willing to bargain a little on the price. They doesnt do too much repair work, so be prepared to test drive and CAREFULLY inspect the car you want. The warranty is pretty limited, but its better than nothing, or you might be able to waive the warranty in exchange for a lower price. Plus there are two friendly dogs to pet while you talk business!

My wife and I drove 4 hours to buy our truck at Imlay City Auto Sales and Allen really took care of us. I really feel like I got a great deal on a great truck and I never felt pressured or rushed. None of the usual shenanigans you expect buying a car. When I showed up there was a small hiccup with the truck and Allen took care of it and made the short wait worth our while.
