The selection is pretty good at BDT, (for a physical retailer) but with the advent of the internet and the possibility of making your purchase in the world wide market place, BDT simply cant compete. Not to sound harsh, but a 60% dealer markup in this economy just doesnt fly. They try to rope you with a discount "Ill knock twenty bucks off", but if youre paying seventy dollars more to begin with, well, that is not very fiscally responsible. They also do not offer any refunds, exchanges, or warranties (like most every online retailer does). If you want to get a better idea of what youre looking at online, stop in and do some window shopping. If youre serious about getting the best deal for your money, go somewhere else.

BDT has been around for many years. The staff there are absolutely educated and extremely helpful! I appreciate how much information they provide on any of the products they sell. They are low-key and private. I would recommend this place to anyone whos searching for answers on pipe or pipe-related products. Again, I appreciate how incredibly informative they are on the product line they carry. THANKS BDT! *I also found the pricing to be very competitive as well. Buying online without someone to literally "talk" to is uncertain and sketchy and its worth the "one-on-one" attention to go into the store itself to see in person the products youre potentially purchasing.

Ive purchased too many things here for that dont last. Nearly everything Ive purchased has malfunctioned in two weeks or less. A clerk sold me a pen but just threw it together and made the sale. The pen broke in less than a week and they almost didnt exchange it, until I told them their clerk made a guaranteed that I could bring it back. They reluctantly replaced the part and it broke 3 days later. They recommended I contact the manufacturer, but we all know how useful that is. And the markup was crazy. I know these people have to make a living, but I cant spend anymore money here. The guys behind the counter really arent that friendly either.

For someone who has shopped at BDT for almost 11 years I challenge anyone to find a cooler staff who know their products. I hate reading reading reviews from people who have alternate intensions. I just cant imagine buying my smoking products online. Sure you can purchase a few things but I couldnt see purchasing my bong on a website. This is something I want to hold and feel prior to buying. Ive voted for these guys for "Best of Detroit" for a number of reasons. If Im not mistaken they have won the "Best Of" for a number of years so it looks like Im not the only one who thinks they deserve it. They have my vote and my business.

I bought two portable vaporizers from this place in 2 weeks. $250 On a Wulf SX and a Summit. The SX stopped working after 1 week and doesnt power on anymore. The Summit shuts off after 20 seconds or so. I contacted Wulf and Vapium and after 6 days, still have not received a response.Ill remove this review as soon as I get these pieces of junk replaced by the manufacturer like you told me.

did the staff have to be absolutely awful? its like the staff get mad when youre not sure about something and ask them a question about something works. Sorry i havent spent tens of years of my life researching smoking accessories, no need to get mad at the customers about it. Youre job is customer service, please do it.

Arguably one of the best smoker shops in the metro Detroit area. Been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The staff is knowledgeable. The products are made of high quality materials. I would highly recommend this shop before all others to serve ones needs for smoking accessories and equipment.

Strictly cool staff members who are very down to Earth and very helpful. Excellent product quality and selection. Only problem is the customers are monitored by police when going in and out of the store and they are just looking for a reason for an easy arrest/ticket. Police harassment is on a whole nother level!

The staff were super helpful getting me a good settup within my budget. Managed to get a small rig, titanium nail, carb cap, torch and a couple other goodies - all for under $100 - when I used my 15% med card discount. Would definitely visit again. Thanks BDTs!

Dont go. Rudest, worst service ever. They either ignore you or treat you poorly right off the bat. Clearly bias towards people of an alternative look. Not punk friendly, not for me. I have worked in Medical for 10 years and can say they need to restaff.
