I have gone to West Michigan Bike and Fitness on Chicago drive for every bike I own. I have in the past had great customer service which is why I went back. I bought an end of season bike and received a 10% veteran discount. Today we went to buy my daughter a bike, it was on sale 8% off. When we cashed out I stated I was a veteran and the lady cashing me out looked at me funny so I advised Dave has always given me a discount. She looked annoyed at that point and when she applied my veteran discount she applied an additional 2% rather than 10% I have always received. Even off of sale prices I have received 10%. Look, I dont expect a discount for being a veteran but if it is offered I will damn sure take it. The kicker was the rude service followed by the irritation in having to honor a discount they offer. We are talking about $30 - I have spent over $4000 in the last few years and have been loyal. My husband has raced for years and he can go anywhere and get a deal with all those he knows in the biking world but we have been loyal to WMBF. So for the savings of $30 they lost our loyalty.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE / REPAIR!!!!!! Brought my tandem bike there to get repaired no one wanted to help except an older gentleman but he only told me I would have to wait for Eddie. I think either Eddie is code for making you wait till you leave or it was the guy who looked over at me as if I was bugging him then after waiting walked past me and went to talk to a guy who just came in the door and wanted to know about a bike bell. WTF? I have gotten a couple bikes up there in the past and looking to upgrade 2 bikes this year will never come back. Good thing is I left went up the street to Village Bike Shop and it was the exact opposite best service and nicest people even adjusted my seat, breaks and went over a ton of extra stuff and the price was less than expected. Will be buying and doing all my bike repair there from now on.

What a bunch of retards over there. I brought my bike in because the brake lever snapped off in a crash. They called me saying they couldnt replace it because they didnt have the proper tool. Im like whatever, Ill just come get my bike. I get it home, take out my 2mm wrench and voila, the lever is off. They didnt have a 2mm wrench? Give me a break! I wouldnt let them put air in my tires. Follow Up: The owner saw my review on here and called me. Did he apologize? NO! Pretty much told me I was wrong and his mechanics were right and brake levers are always press fit in the factory. If thats the case, why was I able to remove it? Next time, look at the bike instead of making assumptions.

I waited for 25 minutes at this shop without anyone so much as acknowledging me! I understand that all the customer service reps (if you can even call them that) were helping people at the time, but at least let me know you see me! Nod your head, say hello and youll be with me when you finish helping whoever youre with at the time. Had someone so much as nodded at me, I would have waited... due to this horrible customer service I went to Village Bike and Fitness just down the street in Jenison. They were more than helpful and got me into a very nice Specialized bike that very day! I would highly recommend Village Bike over this place any day!

I did purchase a new bike here. The staff was helpful. They are having a decent sale right now. It is very hard to talk them down on prices, so beware. This store seems more corporate than private, which made me want to bring my money to a different business. I also wish the staff would have explained a bit more about my bike rather than the basics. Other than that, I love my new bike. I liked the environment its very organized and non-overwhelming. They have some very nice bikes there. Worth checking out.

Very nice and personable staff. Sure you have to wait sometimes when they are busy, but you cant expect a local bike shop to be staffed like the Apple Store. Prices on the bikes are fair and luckily they have a sale a couple times a year. Prices on accessories and parts might be a little steep, but we will know if it was worth it based on how long it lasts. I drive past another bike shop in Jenison that I had some bad experiences at to come here for our last 4 bikes.

Great selection of bikes, nice folks when selling, dont expect much service for follow up. Brother-in-law bought a VERY nice Trek Madone 5.2 plus accessories, noticed wheel wobble and derailer issues on the first ride, lives out of town so he called for references to a local shop who could take care of it - Holland Cycling & Fitness would not help get the bike taken care of. Huge disappointment on a great bike. Wont be shopping here for my next one.

Outstanding service. I couldnt be any happier with how my bike turned out after having it serviced there. It rides better than ever. Ed did a great and thorough job on the bike maintenance and I was also very pleased with the friendliness of the guy that checked my bike in. It was great to have someone actually listen to you and what you want done, explain everything to you, and then follow through on everything beyond expectations. Thanks.

I love this store and all the people there, I have been doing business with this store for many years, I bought my first serious bike here, everyone is friendly and very helpful, very knowledgeable and fun to work, talk and just hang out with. They will help you pick the right bike for you and you can not beat the prices. I will be doing business here for many a year to come. Thanks to you all, and have a great Holiday season. Randy

Worst Service Ever! Brought our tandem in for a tune up b/c it was originally purchased from West Michigan and they refused to work on it. I have never heard of a bike shop refusing to do simple tune up work to a paying customer. On top of refusing to work on it the salesman was extremely rude. We will never return back to this store. We come from a family who are avid bike riders and have never been so turned off by a bike shop.

Long time customer of West Michigan Bike and Fitness and I savor every trip to the store. Always greeted and offered assistance. They never "sell" but allow you to shop. Whenever Ive had an issue they have resolved the matter quickly and to my satisfaction. Ive come in a with a few nuisance issues and they never flinch..but have worked with me.

Eddie, is very knowledgeable and helpful. Describes the what and why of products that would best suit your needs for the type of cycling you are going to be doing. Very nice store with a wide selection of bikes and gear to chose from.

Friendly and accommodating service. Bought three bikes here thus far and always use them for any service needs for all of our bikes. They are always willing to answer questions and take time with their customers .
