Ice cream is good but horrible management. We reserved the deck for a friends birthday party and apparently we get there and theres another party up there. Believe it or not this guy doesnt "recall our reservation." He threatened to call the police, his prissy daughter was completely rude to us, and he wouldnt let us go up to the spot WE reserved. Not to mention, open containers of alcohol everywhere with children underage. Suggest you put that away before a child gets a hold of it. Do not go here. The worst service, management, and atmosphere ever.

I used to be an employee here and we all were treated extremely poorly. All of his long term employees have quit in the past 2 weeks, and he has cut paychecks, refused to give employees their paychecks, and is currently trying to keep his main employee of the downtown location from getting a job at any other cafes. He also never paid any employees for training. Its unfortunate that Bean is losing the integrity of their coffee, but its worse that they wont give their employees the respect they deserve for backing the company for so long.

Wanted to see what this place was all about because someone tried to wave us in yesterday when we were getting lunch next door. The aesthetic was really nice but the baristas were not welcoming in the least and I felt horribly awkward asking them questions about their menu. They didnt have the steampunk coffee ready a half hour after opening and when I asked about their roasts they both seemed nervous and uneducated. I likely wont be back..

I enjoy going here in the morning for a coffee and bagel. It is great going to a place that you can see where the roast and grind the coffee. Staff is always super friendly and prices are reasonable. They have wifi that requires a password they freely hand out. Pretty decent places to sit and spend time on your computer / tablet. The outdoor seating is new and they have a nice listing of community events.

I had an offer for a free half pound of coffee that I was excited to use, especially because I have never been and love trying out new coffee shops. The barista not so politely informed me that they were no longer honoring the offer as they "didnt have enough coffee" even though it hadnt expired yet. It looked like a cute & cozy shop but I likely wont be visiting again.

"Describe your experience" it says. My experience was awful. I loved my co-workers; they were my fam. The management is awful and we werent treated fairly. I love making coffee, and yea the coffee is good, but it was so hard working here. Ill miss my fam but I never want to have to deal with this place again.

Great place; we always come here when were in town. The barista was very friendly and accommodating on each of my three visits, even when I came in with a very customized 6 drink order. She also looked up how to make an Australian drink that was not part of the regular menu. Thank you!

Quite possibly the best coffee in Michigan. This place is a gem! Mr. Lee is a literal genius and has applied his intellect, ingenuity and passion for perfection to Jam n Bean. Once you taste his perfect brews, Jam n Bean will be your "destination coffee". Outstanding!

I dont drink coffee, so I come for the ice cream. Its overpriced, but very good. The employees have always been very polite. Inside has an excellent atmosphere. Outside, Jam n Bean hosts fun events. A good portion of the profits go to the local schools band program.

Service was a little slow to come to the counter when we went in (it was a Saturday AM around 9). Odd that we had to ring the bell to get service. Not bad, not great, just a coffee place.
