If it wasnt for the fact that this is the only Biggby within walking distance of my dorm I wouldnt go here. I have yet to have them make one of my drinks correctly. I ask for skim or extra flavor and its never done. I ask for an extra tea sachet and they look at me like they have no idea what that is. When I asked them to make me a frozen hot chocolate with skim milk and they told me frozen drinks dont have milk in them (true for lattes but cream freezes and steamers get milk/lemonade/orange juice due to there being no espresso). This just goes to show me how improperly trained they are (if theyre even trained at all). They are slow with their service and theyre drinks always come out sloppy (whipped cream is botched and my drink is dripping down the side of my cup). Ive also watched newly hired baristas make drinks without any supervision, meaning Ive watched several improperly made drinks leave from behind the counter. They are always out of brewed coffee, showing a lack of attention to what theyre doing. Their work station is always a complete mess with espresso, milk and syrup everywhere (which is understood when busy but its a mess when its also slow). There is a lack of care for what theyre doing and its aggravating to watch. PERC, P- perception by customers that we respect their time and move them quickly as possible, E- every customer leaves the store in a better mood than when the customer arrived, R- recognize each customer as an individual, C- Consistently produce a high quality beverage. Those are the rules of a Biggby barista and its real shame that these ladies (and the one male) fail miserably at it.

No one was at the counter when I came in, waited 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter. She took a lot longer than she should have. When I said thank you and have a good night, she never acknowledged me and made me feel like I was a burden to her. Overall poor experience and would not recommend at all.

Service is good. But the owner doesnt seem to put effort into the place. Their computers are constantly down, or their credit card machine doesnt work. They dont accept coupons unless you print them, and he put up a sign for people to stop bringing in food from any of the restaurants in the Bernhard Center.

GARBAGE. This place is a disgrace to the franchise. Horrriblle customer service the staff there need to all be retrained. I end up late to class all the time because it takes the staff there 30 mins to make a latte and toast a bagel, ill be bringing my own coffee.

The drinks are constantly scalding hot and I cannot drink it for about 20 minutes after its made. It also takes them forever to take my order and complete it. Overall bad experiences consistently.

Nice, friendly coffee shop in the underground mall of Western Michigan University. Nice place to hang out, study, and relax. Very warm place with some eating options.
